I was told I could pick her remains that Friday, I had to call, "Megan" answered, and said she would check on it, 10 minutes later she said they were waiting for the urn, as there was a back order in them, I said I was making her urn and asked if I could come get her remains as they put them in a bag. Like they do with humans' remains. She said she would ask. 18 minutes later, she said sorry for the wait, but unfortunately, we can't. I showed up the next day, which was Saturday with my urn, and the manager said she wasn't sure if Layla, my female pup, was cremated yet or not. Let me call the processor. she came back and said he was 3 minutes away; 20 minutes later, she came out of her office to say layla had not been cremated due to maintenance, and they don't know when she would be cremated. These people make you think they care; they care about getting your money, dog, cat, or any animal that have owners who care so much that they are willing to bring them to a place to have them cremated so they can bring them back to the place they were part of that family for many years and viewed as family should be treated with the same professionalism and respect as someone who is having a human cremated. It's a dog to you or a cat, but the person paying a lot of money to have this service performed does not view that animal like that. They are part of a family; they love deeper than a person, they have feelings, they feel pain, and they will always love you no matter what. Lies from a place that is supposed to have compassion and professionalism should not take your money and then lie to you. The lady who took my money also tried to upsell me, with guilt by saying this is our basic lowest quality option as she showed me the binder. I was offered no date or time frame. My sweet pup would be ready for me to pick her up. The skinny blonde manager first door on leftsode when you walk in from the back parking lot said I don't know when we will be able to finish her. Finish her? She said ya, I can't give you a date. Why because she is viewed to you as a dog? My pain and hurt feelings from the loss of my pup means nothing to these people who are only driven my money.

So a friend of mine passed away several years ago, I didn't know it even happened till a few years…read morelater since we hadn't been in touch. I found out he was laid to rest in this cemetery by searching on Find A Grave. Since we are practicing social distancing I thought what better place to avoid people then a cemetery. I went to my parents grave first in Cass county and left some flowers , then drive back to Kokomo on my way home. This cemetery is much like the one in Cass County...flat stones but this cemetery at least has some nice large mature trees. I quickly realized I couldn't drive around and look for names since it's all flat. I gave there office a call and told them who I was looking for. Two young ladies drove over to where I was parked and I followed them in my car to the row I needed. They were super helpful, I never would have found it on my own. He's been gone 13 years and still no stone, it's very sad. His mother is next to him and she does have a headstone. Next time I'm in the area I will be sure to bring some flowers for both sites. Now that I know where it is. The dead should never be forgotten.
