Well let me tell you about Mr Franka. I Was encouraged to see him a year ago due to needing a new doctor, worst decision ever. Selective hearing of the worst. Any referrals for anything serious? Find another doctor because your referrals will not be directed to where you want to go. If you have kids and you're worried about their mental health also do not take them to this doctor because he does not give a shit at all. Bring up self-harm to him? He says oh all the kids do that. As a past youth care worker? SELF HARM?No they don't. Self-harm is a coping mechanism It's not normal, and not all kids do it. Secondly you need your prescriptions that keep you sane? Don't come here, he'll take his sweet ass time faxing them because he'll be in some other country or vacationing in Cuba or Mexico who knows but his first priority is not his worK ethics. 3rd, he will mess around with meds that can seriously put your life in danger .The way he messes with them and it's not a good thing. But you know what You ask him about Ozempic? For weight loss? He will ride that pony like the Pony Express and write you refills because you know how it goes ?the more prescriptions the more he makes. 4th. Him doing Botox and fillers come before being an actual GP, GP is bottom on his list.5th? Trying to get an appointment in the beginning before you actually get to know him Good luck like I said His traveling is #1,him job is just as hobby so if you're in serious need of a good doctor? This is not the one to go to. If you want a good dermatologist Papillon dermatology is the best EVER!! THE people there LIKE receptionists? there are awesome. He's got this brunette that works there I never caught her name but don't care too she's probably bullied and junior high elementary school so she treats everyone like shit and she treats the medical assistant at the counter Irina like garbage! talks to her like she's a dog and she is the most loving caring person in the little business. But please don't see this doctor! out of spite he will screw with meds that if you don't take them like you're supposed to? Seizures, withdrawals (very dangerous ones) and a lot more. Just look up abrupt lower dose of benzos but luckily the pharmacist didn't listen to him and gave me my full dose that I needed till I see my new doctor next week. So please be a dear and do not see this person very immature very unprofessional belittled my children right in front of their faces. I always enjoy going to see Dr Franka and his staff. They have created a welcoming environment at their CalgaryMD center. Today I was seen by his medical student, a very bright person who will be graduating this summer. She is looking forward to practicing in a medical center, likely with Dr. Franka. She put me at ease and answered all my questions. I spent most of my career in higher education, so it was rewarding to be helping her just as she was helping me. read more
