Finally stopped to try California Coffee for the first time. The coffee was good and I didn't have any real problems with the place. But it also didn't do anything for me that would make it above average. One advantage, which is not really because of anything the store did, is that it is next to a couch area in Shopping da Gávea, making it easy to enjoy your coffee somewhere a little more comfortable.
I'm not sure if it's this way at every California Coffee, but the store is a kiosk by the escalators as opposed to an actual store that you can enter. They do have their own tables and chairs though, so you can enjoy your coffee or snack there if you'd like.
I tried the hazelnut coffee and there are several options of hot and cold coffee drinks to please most anyone looking for a quick fix. I personally would go here rather than the Starbucks downstairs, but I wouldn't rank it above Momo just around the corner or D.R.I. upstairs. read more
