It is a rare thing to actually find a contractor who will a. Show up on time b. Stay UNDER budget and c. Finish AHEAD of schedule. As a real estate agent, I represented a seller with a multi-unit/multi-family property and an ANCIENT garage the condition of which was holding up funding on the buyer's side because even though the garage was NOT a part of any of the living space, the APPRAISER said it was a condition of funding the loan. It was winter. We had super tight timelines and the seller and I needed a miracle! I called Brian at California Dream Construction because the appraisal conditions said the building had to be "retrofitted for earthquake safety". Brian showed up on a Tuesday to walk the job. He and his crew returned on a Thursday and we had a re-inspection by the appraiser the following Monday and got it "signed off". Pleasure working with Amber and Brian. They built a couple stores for us in San Jose & we're happy with the results. One project was a build-out of a space that was newly constructed by the landlord. The other project was a complete tear-down of an existing space down to the studs and a rebuild all the way up to to a store with 2 bathrooms, storage room, office, and break room. For projects this large, we ran into surprisingly few issues. And those issues, which were all small, were promptly fixed by Brian's crew when we brought them up in the weeks after opening.
