This Company is holding funds from stocks my Grandmother left me. They released half of what is owed to me and then when I requested the rest they blocked my number and refused to talk to me. I have contacted the Califorina State Attorney sense they will not talk to me. I would never use this company and I can tell you, my Grandmother is turning over in her grave... God rest her sole. We received a letter from this company letting us know that we had some unclaimed funds. We knew that to be true but still we were leary as we've been scammed in the past, one too many times. We looked up their website, checked out their Facebook page over and over again, reading and re-reading all that was written, and considered for a long LONG time. We finally decided to look into it, just to see what exactly it involved. The amount was significant to us, and if we did get it, we'd use it to square off some debts. The 'bait' was strong for sure, especially because we knew it was ours, but the fear of being conned was immense and difficult to overcome. After the initial phone call and tentatively agreeing to having them help us claim the funds, when we were asked for some of our more private information, we became very uncomfortable. That was too much so we basically shut down. They sent us emails and left us calls but we didn't respond. Then we received a letter saying we owed them 10% of what they would've gotten if they had claimed the funds for us. That was a huge shocker, and made us so mad. We were right. They were trying to cheat us! But we were more mad at ourselves for not having read the paperwork properly. Finally we received a letter from their lawyer, stating that we owed them that commission. We were actually willing to pay that 10% if push came to shove because we didn't want to give away any of our private info and lose even more. But what turned the tide was the final sentence at the end of that letter, which basically said these people work hard to track all these unclaimed funds, and when we don't cooperate, not only is it a double loss for both beneficiary and the company, but more importantly a waste their time and effort. The message came across as one of frustration. We don't know why but after reading that letter over, we decided to give it an earnest go. We knew that the funds were ours. How else were we going to get it? There were a few reviews on other fund recovery sites that encouraged self claiming the funds but that would be near impossible to swim through all the mire of government red tape, at least for us. So we decided to trust, have faith, and leave it to some higher power to see us through. We're happy, and relieved, AND grateful to report that we received the check. It took many months, but throughout the process everyone in the company we spoke to was helpful, professional and courteous, especially towards the end when we were having trouble understanding the documents and where to call for what to finalize the process. The company receives only after we receive and the money is taken out at the government level so we didn't do anything except wait for the check. We wanted to leave as good a review as a way to thank them for all they did. When we visited this review page, reading repeatedly these same reviews, we'd hope all the time for newer ones to help us, and reassure us. We hope this review helps someone else. We would've left a review sooner but we were moving house and transferring jobs. Thank you California Inheritance Group for what you do and so professionally.
