I'm grateful for this school for many reasons. First, because I`ve been studying for 6 months there and I`m very satisfied with how much I have improved my English. Second, because the teachers and the staff, in general, are always super helpful and willing to give an amazing student life experience to the students in the US. If wasn't for the teacher Cassey Blakemore I wouldn't be able to go to a college or even writing this review right now. She`s very focused on getting her students to a higher education position, which was exactly what I was looking for. Affordability is also a great point to consider. The prices are the same for all levels, beginning, intermediate or advance. I was a student there for only a month, but I had lots of fun, and learned a lot too about the american culture. I was born and raised in Brazil, so I was very nervous at first. But they made me feel very welcome and warm. They have lots of recreative programs, they take the students to lots of different places with teacher supervision. Teachers are formal in classes, but outside of It they are very friendly and outgoing. they buy you coffe from nearby cafe's sometimes, and they listen to your troubles and try to give you the best advice possible for everthing in life. And one thing that's worth mentioning, is that there's students from every part of the world! so you can meet lots of new friends, connections, and learn new culture! Hola!!! I have taken English & Tofle at the California Language School. I had a great teacher KELLY & David. Their class sizes are very small so the group dynamic is great. My class there were only 9 other student so after a while it was like meeting my friends every day. Their approach to teaching a language is all about conversation and very practical English. I took their TOEFL class. The TOEFL teacher repeats same material, reads the texts on the TOEFL book as they are printed and comes to school late. TOTALLY A FRAUD-LIKE TOEFL TEACHER who is lame, lazy, and unprofessional. If he is still there for any class, he is just earning - Not teaching -, spending his time just for money. The other teachers as well as staffs do not have any interest in your English ability at all, but the tuition fee and so on that you are going to pay. While I was a student there, I heard a rumor that one of the teachers tried to hit on a female student, but failed. Even though this school might be good for being a nurse or whatever, ESL and TOEFL programs are not supported or managed by either the staffs or teachers. I got a good enough TOEFL score to go to college! So I want to thank the school. I thought I would do okay but I did well! After the class I took the test and scored 85! I got in college easily. Teacher is a bit lazy and seems unhappy some class. However, I learned well and my English improved a lot. That is why I got into college. Teacher is okay but teaches well enough for good TOEFL score. Also, TOEFL class have computer for everyone so everyone used the computer. His　pronunciation is good, and he changes the difficult word to the simple word and talks while being repeated. He should do what for a beginner, or there is rich experience. He is humorous, and the beginner class has the student hard to please, too, but processes the situation softly without having square it even if it is for a difficult situation as for him. Without forgetting humor. In addition, the woman lecturer　is very　good,and　Her　accent is　beautiful fantastically. I questioned some schools close by, but the price is the lowest in this school. CLA is good place to study english. All the staff members and teachers are very nice and professional. Every Thursday, they serve coffee and snacks(cookie, candy, jelly something like that).
