After coming here for over a year and looking back, i dont have any complaints where I would agree to funny smells or providers asking for large tips. The managers are always nice and accomodating to near closing time walkins. They may have a little turn over, but you can tell just about everyone was trained to scope the body and work any knots you may have. This is a professional establishment. read more

I had wanted to check this place out, but the person I was with had other plans. Nevertheless, I saw the cost for your massage. One hour for $80 is a little step. I have paid this price before, but I think I will stick we with $60 to $50 an hour. Still, I am happy to see the prices on your website. You are taking your website business more seriously than others I have seen. The absolute worst massage we have ever had in our lives. We were in shock! There is no way these masseuses went to massage school.?!?! It was like we got massaged by 6 year olds. I just had one of the best deep tissue massages of my life. This massage location is small and unassuming. There is no fancy spa facade, it is a legitimate real deal, professional massage parlor. The staff were friendly and extremely skillful. Typically, deep tissue massages do not deliver the high quality provided at California Massage and Tea. They are very nice, polite, on time and friendly. 1. Appointment - required. I don't think they take walk-ins. 2. Massage - great the head massage part was amazing. They do a good deep tissue massage. Winston- male masseuse is very professional. Sisi was great too. I loved their massage oil. Normally most places use terrible baby oil that is very sticky and causes me allergy. here they use some very nice lotion with no smell whatsoever. hypoallergenic. 3. I made a same day appointment for a 60 minute deep tissue massage ($80). Jane worked on me and worked on all my knots, to include the ones I didn't know I had. I did tell her my neck was sore, and she worked on that knot for a while. The massage techniques are different from what I am used to, but they worked. She kept the same pressure and included stretching my body, which felt really nice. I feel pleasantly sore, which is expected after a deep tissue massage. Also, it seemed like Jane wanted to start right on time to allow for the full 60 minutes, so I recommend arriving earlier if you want to express any concern areas. Bring cash too as there is a credit card charge, which is not unusual for Asian places (think of this as a cash only place you would go to for haircuts or other services). Also, bring water. I always bring water around, so I'm not sure if it would have been offered otherwise. All in all, I find the pricing to be very reasonable in McLean and the quality of service was great. It may have helped that I could also speak the language, so be patient in case English is not their first language. read more

These guys are great. Went for a couples massage on Valentine's Day and didn't really know what to expect, as I hadn't done this before and they were a new place with no reviews yet. They didn't charge much and gave us a full hour with a variety of different massages (without making us feel hurried). The staff was friendly and wanted to know if there was anything different they needed to do (softer or harder touch, specific area for attention, etc). The staff means well. It feels COVID safe. But they always charge you more than what they quote. The first appointment they gave me so much trouble using my credit card. Second appointment, the masseuse that I made the appointment with left early for the day without letting me know, and I had some random person that didn't do an actual deep tissue massage. They did absolutely nothing to try to make up the whole appointment issue (twice), demanded tip, and they charged me more than what they quoted. It's not worth going to a place that gives me stress when a massage is supposed to be a relaxing experience. They should have offered me something for the trouble they caused 2 times in a row. With 3 back surgeries and peripheral neuropathy, I routinely need to go to chiropractor and get massages from time to time. I've been to California M&T a few times. First, the place is clean, something appreciated before, and now needed more than ever. Second, their therapists are terrific. Very professional, pleasant, skilled, thorough, and capable, including rigorous deep tissue. Third, the coffee and tea offerings at the end are a nice, unique touch. Finally, their rooms are nice and enclosed with soothing music; you're not in some stall where you you're listening to hokey music or hearing conversations next door. Highly recommend. read more

An excellent massage in every way possible. The studio here practices California massage, which was new to me. It's basically similar to Swedish massage, but with much more repetitive, gentle strokes, and seems to be even more geared towards relaxation than Swedish massage. However, that doesn't mean that it isn't therapeutic or that the pressure is too light. My therapist, Lisa, was terrific. She asked me before the start of the massage and several times during, if the pressure was OK, which it was. In fact, it was such a great massage that I ended up opting for another half an hour. What I didn't do was try the tea, but I will do that next time. Pricing is on par with many massage studios in the DC area, $60 for a half an hour and 80 for a whole hour. Setting an appointment up was super easy, I did the whole thing over Yelp. Try this place out! read more

Have been going here on and off for a while because Jane is amazing. I should have given them multiple 5 star reviews just for her. Went today and she was not available, so thought I would try another, figuring if one is great the other ought to be at least good. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While she was pleasant, clearly the training was lacking, and here's why--90 minute massage, worked on back for 60 minutes, and back of legs 30 minutes. In other words, it was 1/2 a massage, which was very disappointing. She was so very nice, I did not have the heart to say anything. But in the future, it's Jane or no one here. read more

I would highly recommend this business. I don't often provide reviews but they are responsive and provide excellent massages for a fair price. They work so hard (Open 10am - 10pm every day) and they are very focused on ensuring I am happy with the massage. I like deep tissue and they do excellent deep tissue but will also adjust the pressure when asked. read more

A very different massage and it was a nice surprise. Just felt so relaxed and calm. When the massage was over, I thanked her and mentioned my shoulders were still a little sore.
