The downside with it is that the whole process is longer as it takes quite a few coatings to perfect. Coco Nail Studio in Alabang however, is proud to offer a faster way of applying gel polish with their exclusive (for now?) machines that chops off more than half the time required, making the coating dry in seconds. Even I'm impressed. The speed of the process is almost a bad thing, as the interiors of Coco Nail Studio make you want to stay there for copious amounts of time. They opted to use regular sofas to do the nail spa treatments, so you're always comfortable in your seat. I don't have my nails done but I'd recommend Coco Nail Studio to anyone in a heartbeat.

The technicians are also a bit quiet, so it gives clients the opportunity to actually watch and hear what's being shown on the TV installed in the salon. I am notorious amongst friends as to my being picky and having high standards for my mani, so when I vouched for Tonic, my friends even suggested for us to throw our freidn's bridal shower there. Rich, luxurious colors of purple, deep magenta and pink popped out against the white ceiling and gray damask walls. Service was lovely and wonderful as expected. The only downside (if you can call it that) was that my friend and I had a hard time choosing from the wide range of brands and colors of polish that they had available. They basically range from the type of brands. I also added the Lavender Foot Spa. With pedicure, foot cleaning, scrub and a nice massage from the knee down. I really love those high knee foot spas because other places just massage up to the ankles. I don't know what they've used to remove my original gel polish but it was green and runny, stained my fingers and didn't remove anything! They then had to resort to filing and scraping it all off. Their UV gel lamps are weak and outdated. Final product - Polish all under my nails. Streaky and smudged finish. Gave two stars because they were able to fix a broken nail and did a good job cleaning up the cuticles.

Our good friend auggested Chetawan, which my sister and I always thought was a bit scary to go to, since it's along a short alley unseen from the street. Taking our friend's words for it, I tried their Thai full body massage and my sister got their Thai foot massage. I was pleased with the massage given by Maricel, who asked me for my preference in pressure and checked to ask twice if the pressure was fine. My sister was likewise pleased with her foot massage, which as per her request also included 20 minutes hand massage instead of the usual 10. PhP200 is certainly a good price to pay to relieve stress and get a bit of stretching.
