The owner will block your phone number from her shop if you call to many times for the same tech to do your nails, it took me awhile to figure it out, everytime i call it from my phone number it goes to a vm and i never get a call back, I saw the tech i used their at a store and she said Yes she does that to all the techs, i do not recommend this nail shop. 0 stars if it would let me. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! My friend and i went to get our nails done we both had bad experiences here they have horrible customer service when we try and ask them to correct something by the look of there face like it bothered them, the lady that took care of my full hand set she had gotten upset only because i was telling her she was hurting my nails to the point where i left lile i didn't have a nail anymore and come to see once they where off she did over filed my nails(i post two pictures) of my nails in both hands, we knew in the end that they both where talkin in their language about my friend n i, in the end we both had gotten similar plane color white set because they didn't have no silver stones nor couldn't do design. California Nails has a new owner who stuck it out during the Pandemic. She is very energetic and tries very hard to accommodate walk ins. I have learned to make an appointment at least a couple days in advance. She answers the phone while actually working on a customer to help keep overhead costs down, so she doesn't have time to chitchat. It is very hard to schedule staff when you have a group of 3 or 4 walk-ins who expect service right away. And now everything takes longer with all the extra cleaning they do. They have always done a great job on my nails. I get dip and it lasts for weeks. My hubby has a pedicure and enjoys the pampering. We are retired and try to be courteous and schedule appointments during the day when others are working or in school. Some of the reviews on here are pretty old and pertain to previous owners. Not really fair. read more

This is my place! They do a good job. I typically get a gel manicure and it will last 3 weeks.

I love services that understand that their customers are working and so they need to be accessible evenings and weekends. I stopped by one Sunday for a mani/pedicure because my usual nail salon isn't open Sundays. California Nails had moved to their new, spacious, clean and well appointed space in the former Eagle's building the night before. I further love a service that defines their own rules...the family dog is a business mascot of sorts. They are truly nice people who are quite inviting. But, the best part is the quality of the service. Pedicures are pedicures...give me a nice lower leg massage, remove all the stuff I don't need from my feet and toes and paint the nails pretty well and I'm happy. It's the manicure that tells the tale. I have had professional manicures chip and break within 3 days of polishing. My mani from California Nails is still going strong two weeks later. My only disappointment was a lack of magazines for true indulgence and relaxation but I'm guessing that they tossed their inventory when they moved the night before. I'd recommend them as a locally owned, entrepenaur with great service and an above average product. read more

I have been going to this salon for years now, they do a great job. They always are friendly and fit you in for service. Have watched and they clean the pedicure stations between patrons. Have never had a problem. I do love that t,hey let your feet soak and soften, too many salons rush through the visit! We do enjoy taking Mom there. The salon is very roomy, Mom can easily maneuver in her walker. They are always gentle with her and she feels pampered. If they do not have a wait for chairs they even let her nails dry right in the chair! read more

This place has very nice workers, but I didn't get what I asked for bc my lady couldn't understand me. I asked for designs on my toes and she said ok but I got nothing. Then when I asked the guy to help I told him what i wanted and he told he rand still it was nothing like i wanted. The Shellac job on my finger nails was ok I've had many better and few worse. The leg massage wast really a massage and they didn't use lotion after so I'm dry and itchy :( read more

My friend and I took ourselves and her granddaughter for a spa day here. They were wonderful to the girls, ages 6 and 8. We both got gel nails, and I am so impressed with the work done, as is she, as we both have not had good service in the past at other salons. They did not rush us out the door, our nails were dry, our feet look great. Another salon, left we with still rough feet three weeks ago and not very good color and the mani only lasted 4 days. All I did was wash dishes and take a showers. No hard cleaning. The place is very clean, the staff is very nice. If you want good service, I would come here, took me a year to find this place. read more

I took my mom and I here for first time and was impressed they have good hours of operation. I felt they tried hard to understand my needs as I have a neuroma (not visible) on my left foot and it cannot be touched. The owner worked on me and touched that spot a couple times but then did a good job going around it. It is an unusual request so I appreciate when someone finally "gets it". She was accommodating when I asked for several colors (one on each toe) that I picked out myself. I think she charged me $3 extra for this. My mom is 84 and loved her service tremendously. We will definitely come back here on a regular basis. The place is clean and they are very efficient workers as far as I could tell. Would highly recommend them. read more

I went in and asked for gel nail extensions but was lied to and told they had 'gel powder' and that it was not acrylic that they were putting on my nails. After I read the container it was in fact acrylic. My nails look nothing like the picture I showed my tech, they're not even in length, and they look very crooked on my nail. I also spent my drive home picking acrylic off of the skin around my nails. Waste of $45. read more

I had planned on having 4 pedicures & 1 manicure for Mother's Day. My 2 daughters and my mother & mother in law. I made reservations a month in advance since its probably a busy time, I also made it for Saturday (maybe not as busy). I called the day before to confirm. We got there on Saturday and said we had reservations, 4pedi & 1 mani. We ended up having to wait a 1/2 hour. We felt very rushed. My daughter who wanted the manicure never got helped! When it came time to pay they charged for the toe design (which when I first called they said would be free Mother's Day special). AND they didn't apologize for my daughter getting overlooked! read more

I asked for a UV Gel Nail from the menu board and what I got was acrylics that were very painful for a couple of days. As I was reading up on the painful nails, it appears that this is typical of salons that say they offer gels (which are UV cured between layers) and an acrylic mix of liquid and powder that cures in the air. They put a UV topcoat on it, but it is still acrylic. Now I am not sure if I can even soak these off or if I need to have them eventually filed off. With the damage done to my nail beds causing the pain after application, I am frankly afraid to have them removed. I asked them why it wasn't a gel and they told me that it was a gel powder while she was putting them on, and by then the damage was done. I will not be going back or recommending to anyone else. read more
