Despite that, I felt they took advantage of my security deposit by charging unfair and questionable fees. The communication throughout the move-out process was frustrating, and I did not feel that my concerns were addressed fairly. It seemed like they were looking for reasons to keep money from my deposit rather than evaluating the property objectively. Based on my experience, I would encourage future renters to thoroughly document the condition of the property with photos and videos and carefully review any deductions made from their deposit. The house was an inheritance, and needed to be put on the market "as is." They were diligent in helping me get the exterior tidied up - finding a gardener, handyman, electrician and teens to do front yard poop patrol! (gotta keep the neighborhood happy!) Literally two days before it was to go on the market, a pipe burst in the kitchen. I live out of state, and I did not have any idea who to call, and I left everything up to them. That evening they got ServPro out to suck up the water and to dry everything out. Insurance became involved, and a contractor was recommended. Suffice it to say that the contractor was less than stellar. Too many delays, etc. However, Jessica and Masumi would drop by periodically to be my eyes and ears and give me a report on how the construction was coming. When they couldn't get there, Kim went by to check things out. These ladies stood strong, even calling the contractor a few times on my behalf when I was out of the country. It took over 6 months from the original date that the house was to go on the market to actually be ready to go. Jessica and Masumi very easily (and I would not have blamed them) could have told me to call back when it was ready, or told tell me to get another realtor. But no! They stuck right with me through thick and thin! In the end, I received a very fair price for my house.
