The manager, Sam, did the kindest most heartfelt thing. The plant is beautiful and wrote me a note apologizing for barbara, an employee there, that was so rude to me. I don't think anyone has ever done that. All the other employees there are so kind and Sam is a one of a kind. What a great example of an amazing manager. i will be back bc of her! Parking is limited on site but there is plenty of street parking in the adjacent neighborhood. I also loved that landscapers were stopping in to get items. This is also a good thing to see when going to a nursery or plant shop. All of their items seem in great shape and taken care of well. I ended up getting some hydrangeas that were beautiful. The prices were reasonable for the quality you get. I will make sure to stop in again when I'm in the area.

This is a note regarding my experience with the owner of the location when she sent a private…read moremessage and invited us to come back in spring when their inventory is larger as well as to request that I remove a photo that I had placed on the original review. The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.

Anyway, their plant selection is MASSIVE and I didn't go in looking for anything in particular and left with two new plants and a new human friend. They have the basics all the way up to the trendy like the Giganthus (pictured) and are super knowledgeable and willing to help with any of your plant needs. They have every flower, plant, or tree that you can imagine. They have fertilizers, soil, mulch, and other soil additives. They have bug and pest remedies. They have adornments for the yard such as wind chimes. Customer service remains much better than at the box stores. Prices seem to have increased a lot but I guess that is true for everything, everywhere. This is a go-to first choice for plants and plant care in Lake Highlands.

On my recent visit here I was taken back by how many times I was engaged by employees who offered assistance. In a world where many businesses seem to be digressing from customer service, I found Calloway's attention to it quite refreshing. I was also impressed by the huge selection they had here. They had great selections for every area in my yard, whether it be shady, sunny, or somewhere in between. In addition to plants, they had gloves, yard tools, decor, and more! Pretty much almost anything you could need. They also had some pretty cool moss birdhouses, one of which came home with me! Calloway's has fairly reasonable prices, on most things.
