This is the second Ruibals we've been too, didn't realize until today that there was more than one. The first one visited was great. This one is mush smaller and seems to only carry the main fare for annual color and basic perennials that you will see almost everywhere else. They did however have one tree that we considered getting, a Weeping Bald Cypress Cascade. They are hard to find, but at $260 and driving almost 90 minutes back to the house, we weren't to sure about getting it. They did have other trees, but not many. This location seems more like a quick stop for annual color and quick landscape deco.

I continue to make the 1hr drive to visit this place at least once a month. Ruibal's continues to blow me away with their gorgeous selections of indoor plants. I've been able to find exotic, rare indoor plants here that I only thought I'd be able to acquire by specialty online orders. Not only do they have these rare beauties, but the plants are full, healthy, and continue to produce insane amount of growth. I acquired a Monstera Deliciosa about two months back that have since needed to be re-potted twice due to how much new growth it has produced. Not only do the quality and health of their plants outshine any competitors in the area (trust me, I've looked), the pricing is beyond reasonable. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I continue to send fellow plant enthusiasts their way who are always amazed with their beautiful finds. To say I absolutely adore this nursery would be a complete understatement!!

I've been a fan of Ruibal's for a while usually going downtown. This one opened a year or two ago - can't believe this site wasn't listed yet. The staff are helpful and informed concerning Dallas area landscaping the plants they sell. Idon't mind walking in and feeling completely stupid and asking about plants. also love the live ladybugs!

    Literally overflowing with flowers.

I live so close to this location and have driven by it since it opened but I finally stopped by a couple of weeks ago. I needed some soil and as soon as I walked in two of the staff asked me if I needed anything. When I let them know I needed soil one of them took me out back (which isn't as sketchy as it sounds) and recommended a bag of soil which I ended up buying two of. When I got to the register I let them know that I had a membership to a certain business which gives me discounts with other businesses in the area. The cashier politely informed me that they do honor the discount but that it unfortunately didn't apply to soil/fertilizer. I was going to buy my bags of soil anyways but the cashier informed me that since I wasn't informed/aware of that rule that they would apply the discount to the soil this one time. It was more than I was expecting so I was grateful. I had a little gardening chat with another worker and they loaded my soil for me. Over all I had a great experience with the staff, service, and product.

The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of this particular Calloway's Nursery is customer service. On my recent visit here I was taken back by how many times I was engaged by employees who offered assistance. In a world where many businesses seem to be digressing from customer service, I found Calloway's attention to it quite refreshing. I was also impressed by the huge selection they had here. They had great selections for every area in my yard, whether it be shady, sunny, or somewhere in between. In addition to plants, they had gloves, yard tools, decor, and more! Pretty much almost anything you could need. They also had some pretty cool moss birdhouses, one of which came home with me! Calloway's has fairly reasonable prices, on most things. They also have specials each week and a lot of those are great deals. I also recommend you become a member of their garden club as the rewards seem to add up pretty quickly for me. Review #2063
