Specialties
As a certified dog trainer and behavioral specialist, I offer personalized in-home consultations to address your dog's unique behavioral challenges. My approach is compassionate, effective, and designed to promote a calm, obedient dog who listens and responds well to guidance. I do not use shock collars, e-collars, or prong collars—focusing instead on dog psychology and gentle techniques that produce lasting results.
I work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes—from puppies as young as 8 weeks to seniors. Whether you're dealing with issues like aggression, excessive barking, separation anxiety, potty training, or leash pulling, I can tailor a solution that works for both you and your dog.
If you're ready to see real improvements in your dog's behavior, give me a call today and let's work together to achieve your training goals!
History
Established in 2021.
I’m a long-time animal lover and trainer. Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to work with many different types of animals as well as learn different tools and techniques in husbandry and positive reinforcement training.
My family adopted an Aussie puppy who was very anxious, fearful, and independent. Even with all of my experience and training, things became difficult very quickly. I knew there was something I was missing.
After a lot of research, I found a method that helped me to better understand and communicate with my dog, alleviate her fears and anxieties, and help me to be the calm, confident leader she needed. The results were so amazing that I continued to study and learn more about these methods and had a sincere desire to help other dog owners have a better relationship with their dogs. I enrolled in the Dog Trainer Academy and have been able to deepen my understanding of dog behavior and communication. I look forward to sharing this knowledge with you!
Meet the Business Owner: Clarissa H.
Animals have always been a part of my life... from having a wide variety of pets growing up, to getting degrees in Wildlife Biology and Exotic Animal Training and Management, followed by working as a camel wrangler. Later on in life, I discovered I also really enjoy teaching. I worked as a middle school and high school teacher for a few years. Starting my own dog training business allows me to combine both my love of animals (dogs) and my enjoyment of teaching by helping to improve the quality of life for both canine and human, while simultaneously strengthening their bond and relationship.
