Pretty good servo. Sometimes the counter service was a little gruff. Nevertheless I am a regular. They have a good quality air hose with a digital screen to preset your tyre pressure. read more

Belrose Service Centre
(1 review)
Nothing could make you happier than going to the garage, right? Everyone loves spending what they…read moreinevitably perceive as too much money on their car. Whats more, everyone loves the disturbance of not having their car for the morning or afternoon that it takes to fix whatever's wrong. Really, there's nothing positive about the experience, right? Wrong! Armen, the man who runs the Belrose Service Centre is just lovely - him and his friendly little team make for a genuinely pleasant service or car-fixing experience. Not only does he have a chat when you come it, he also takes the time to explain the problem, break down the bill for you or provide invaluable advice for the future. He's truly a gem, and has ensured great loyalty - most people I know that take their cars there won't go elsewhere. Belrose Service Centre also seems a little bit less pricey than its global corporation counterparts like Shell and BP Service Centres. Overall, it's a great place to partake in the necessary evils of the auto-world.
Forestville Ethanol
"Purchase cheap fuel from others - pay extra on the supermarket shelves"…read more The catchcry of a small business, Forestville Ethanol's slogan is painted across its roof to catch the eye of every passing motorist. Located on busy Warringah Road, there are many a passing motorist. A convenient location for a petrol station, one would think. And one would be absolutely correct - if a Coles Express/Shell wasn't located right next door. Despite the shopper docket deals and slightly cheaper petrol available there, I always go to Forestville Ethanol when I'm in the area and in need of filling up. One, because I rarely have a fuel voucher to get the advertised price at Coles, and two, because I like it better. A small business located right next to the commercial giant Coles, and not only surviving but giving it attitude with the aforementioned slogan... I like it. I have never needed to wait at the pump for a slow old man in a Mercedes - even on cheap Tuesday! Further, the people working inside are always polite and friendly - but with a touch of familiarity, way more love than you'd get at a petrol chain. The prices are usually one cent more expensive than Coles... which often costs me a whopping extra 40 cents per liter. Shock horror! Even if you're concerned about that extra 40 cents though, I'd be inclined towards Forestville Ethanol.... as the sign cleverly points out, money saved there is spent elsewhere.

I've only taken my car here for my last two rego vehicle inspections, but with this experience alone I've noted the service is quick and efficient - inspections are carried out in 15-20mins while you wait. Staff are friendly enough. Credit card facilities are available too.

As lazy people are wont to do, I drove it until it got too bad for me to ignore, then called around for a few quotes. Ultratune came in cheapest by around a hundred bucks, which wasn't half bad, so they won my bidnizz. They serviced my car the very same day I called them up, which was super convenient. He did mention that my brake pads were 80% worn and I could get these replaced for another $76 or so, and initially I said yes but then checked my last service receipt (from another shop) and I'd had my brakes inspected a couple months back, I wasn't sure I really needed these done so I declined. Picked the car up that arvo and she drives as good as new. Is still probably scared of me though. Maybe I should wash her more.
