Yes they are amazing artists but the spoken word was amazing as well as the volunteer hosts. As a tourist and visiting guest, I appreciated the free t shirt, hospitality seating and parking since the church is located in a shopping center. I also appreciated that this campus had an actual pastor, live- in person and not a large screen of Steven Furtick preaching from Charlotte or pre recorded.

Also most of their services are talking about tides and how you have to give to the church financially when that church already makes like $45 million yearly yet you see homeless people in their parking lot asking for help without receiving help from the stuck up members.

We went there to check out an exhibit set around the shroud of Turin and they also hada stand where the real shroud sat upon it. The grounds themselves were stunning and the garden with the Stations of the Cross displays were awe-inspiring. The people were friendly and it is a stunning place. I will say that I was not overly fond that they did a play on words and I think they called the restaurant Mary's Cafe, but I guess i understand. We stumbled upon this Church and never looked back. The community is welcoming, kind, and the Church is lively and beautiful. We look forward to the speakers and hearing Pastor Luke every Sunday. We literally would dread going to church before, but now are excited to go. I have attended several of their Women's Events, too, which have allowed me to grow in faith and in the community. I decided to take a drive one Sunday to find a new church and ended up at Christ Church of Orlando. From the second I got out of my car I knew something was different. Going in I saw people actually talking to each other and laughing together. People greeted me with warm smiles and I just got the feeling like this place was somewhere special. I remember clearly the message Pastor Paul gave that day. It was one that hit home for me and one that I was desperate to hear. That is not uncommon at Christ Church. Pastor Paul has a way of speaking to so many, but also speaking directly to you at the same time. His messages are relevant and applicable to every day life. He is funny, witty, and well spoken. Expect to laugh (imagine that at church!) and expect to leave a better person than you were when you came in. The people at Christ Church are genuine and sincere. It may seem cliche to say that it is like a family here...but it is. We're a bunch of imperfect people who love God and do life together. As a mom of a 4 year old, I can also speak to the quality of their children's program. My daughter learns about Jesus every week through fun games and activities and a quality curriculum. She loves coming to church and has made many great friends that now play together outside of church which has gained me some great new mom-friends as well! Speaking of making friends...there are different classes/studies offered on Wednesday evenings and connection groups that meet in various parts of Orlando on weeknights. Groups are based off of special interests like cooking, biking, young families, bible studies, women's groups, men's groups, etc., and provide a fun and safe environment to make some great friends while growing your relationship with God. Christ Church of Orlando also hosts community outreach opportunities where we are able serve the local community together as a church family. To begin with, Journey Church is a pretty big church with lots of visitors. They have plenty of parking and there are volunteers directing traffic. There is a tent for new visitors with lots of information. I got there while worshipping was happening and I felt the spirit through their songs. I loved how at home I felt by this. Immediately after it Pastor JJ Vasquez started preaching and, wow! He is funny, informative about the word, and keeps you fully engaged.

He speaks the word of God so well. He makes every single sermon relatable and understandable for anyone. The slogan of this church is to make Jesus accessible to anyone and that is exactly what they do each and every Sunday. The church is growing so much, they've been around for nine years And started in a living room and now they have thousands of people attending several different services at different locations and even online. I love participating in small groups that really helps to create community among such a large church. And they always have wonderful events for couples and women and teens and more. Recently, my close friend and her daughter started attending and her daughter even got baptized, which is something they do at the church. I believe three times a year.

It was wonderful to learn the songs in Portuguese- I caught on to most of them about half way through. The message (I understood about 20%) was engaging. Probably would have been much more engaging if I was able to understand a greater amount- but even 20% was good. There is an English service in the main building. This campus is a smaller building, but it is very comfortable with a good amount of space. The lyrics and main points of the sermon are projected clearly as well. I totally recommend this church for anyone seeking a Brazilian Portuguese language church.

Finally,​ we buckled down and made the resolution that in 2019 we MUST feel that God was calling us to the church during our first attendance. Low and behold January 7th we stepped into Celebration and never looked back. I mean come on with a belief system of: We are all about Jesus. We are welcoming. We are authentic. We are diverse. We are intentional. We are faith-filled. We are participators. We are generous. We are others-focused​. Where can you possibly go wrong? Anywho onto the main points. Currently,​ the church is meeting at two locations of Howard Middle in downtown and Edgewater High in College Park. The vision is to be good financial stewards and raise enough capital for a permanent location. Get ready to be seriously welcomed at our church from the parking lot all the way to when you leave. Let's​ talk about​ safety. Children's​ ministry has a police officer always on duty at the entrance along with two other officers and tons of security from all backgrounds of life spread randomly throughout the church. Doors are locked at all times and check-in and check-out procedures for children are tight-knit with identification badges out before you can even go in the direction of children's​ ministry. Don't​ have little ones? No biggie there is Sub 30 available for young adults and RIOT. RIOT is a place where middle and high school teens can hear a message geared specifically for their audience. More importantly,​ they can meet during the week for groups​ intentionally​ designed with them top of mind. You can tell when a message is truth when you're​ turning the pages of your bible or looking at the verse available on the projector often. Come prepared to read from the bible and unpack it with our pastors, the Phillips. Don't​ forget to get your weekly dose with community groups. Celebration​ understands we shouldn't do life alone and we have nailed down all sorts of groups from coffee to fitness, and even brunching on how we can spread the word of God. All in all,​ I'm sure you can tell that Celebration is not just a church. We are one big loving family.
