Worship is spirit led, reverent, and (goose-bump) inspiring. The Holy Spirit is certainly moving in this church, especially on the anointing of Pastor David. The Word is taught in a line by line, verse by verse manner; nothing taken out of context; so much application for life. The focus is never "religion, rules, or repetition," the focus is true transformation, relationship, and redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. The Word is never sugar coated or watered down, highlighting the need for the Gospel that much more. May God continue to bless Calvary Chapel Westside.

Her service was good, however this is a hypocrisy of the catholic church which doesn't ordain women and yet had to depend on them for services. The church is in austerity -she didn't have enough Holy hosts and had to break them to give out communion. I got a miniscule peice- felt shortchanged. Then the ashes were given by a very nice effeminate young man. Isn't the church homophobic? go figure

The fish is HUGE, very crispy and not too overpowering in the flavor. The fries are great and plentiful in each order. The mac salad and coleslaw are great and good portions for this too. They have a great drive thru system here and the line is moving quick every time. It's a well oiled machine when they set up for a fish fry here and I have never been disappointed.

The noise of the swimming Ducks in the pond and the Robins near the statue of Our Lady of Genesee are the only sounds that break the deep quiet of the surroundings. The Chapel is a circular area making one feel embraced while praying and meditating. Books of Psalms are present at the pulpits and the Psalms for the day are posted in the Chapel board encouraging their readings. Next to the right of the Chapel a store selling bread, honey, sweets and religious merchandise is found. The Monk's Bread is made here. I bought a loaf and a Parmesan crusted crackers that were delicious. I also got A Book of Psalms and some sacred music cds. I found a magic place to visit when I want some solitude and inner peace.

Seeing church leadership casually promoting products (Liquid Death) with names and imagery that don't reflect spiritual growth or positive influence is discouraging and disgusting, to say the least. Leadership should be role models, and this made it clear that this is not the right environment for my family--much less any family.
