**July 2026: Wednesday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more I was looking for a beautiful vantage point to admire Sedona's scenery without having to do much hiking and this spot came up in my research as the perfect fit! My friend and I were able to find parking in the lot and walk right up to the top! The chapel itself is very small and probably only fits about 30 people for service, but the gift shop underneath was much larger than I expected. What stood out most to me was the incredible scenery all around: the red rocks, blue sky, and sweeping valley views made it such a memorable place and there were photo-worthy views in almost every direction. The best part was definitely the view outside, since the mountains looked absolutely incredible.

Built into a mountain, you will likely never see a church this unique in your lifetime. You can come and light a prayer candle, have silent reflection, and connect with your spirituality. Note: there is a gift shop downstairs under the church. I almost missed it because there are no visible signs. Worth a browse. Logistically, however, I'm not sure if I would ever do this again. We visited in the late morning (before lunch) on a week day. Parking took over 30 minutes, and presented a bit of an unsafe situation with people blindly backing their cars into a curvy steep hill while pedestrians walked without paying attention. There were also just way too many people; I felt claustrophobic most of the experience. The views outside are gorgeous and highly photogenic, but WOW! Crazy busy.

You have to park in a lot, take the metro rail to the entrance and then make sure you use the bathroom first thing because there are no other bathrooms. Watch others to see how they tackle the rocks and hills and different areas. Also, trust when I say that you will get red dirt all over you and what you carry. Make sure you have a backpack and water bottle that you can just carry on your person. When you reach the top, it is truly a masterpiece! Going down was harder than going up by the way. Be very careful on your way down. Took us about 1.5 hours to get to the top and then about the same going back down. Watched a few people slip and fall, walk barefoot, and even touch the cactus. We're so glad we took this trail as beginners in Sedona.

St Cecilia's is an older Catholic mission church centrally located in the heart of the historic…read morecentral Arizona town of Clarksdale. It has daily and Sunday Mass. the interior has recently been remodeled. It's very nicely done. The perform the traditional Latin mass which is very conservative and in tune with the Passion of Christ so no talking once inside and clothing must be respectful of our Lord. Don't expect a modern band playing or other disrespectful activities on the Nave. And gentlemen don't be wearing shorts t shirts or flip flops. And ladies must wear a scarf or covering over your head. Confession is available a half hour before each mass. If your like me you'll need lots of these. On the first Sunday of the month there's a potluck brunch in the rectory which is a great way to get together and socialize with fellow parishioners.
