i and my family have called calvary chapel crossfields our home church for several years now. having been blessed wiith salvation for many years, we have attended multiple churches of multiple denominations. i have been involved in teacing sunday school, church government, sound systems, you name it in the churches we have attended. never in that history have we been so blessed as a family than as we are now attending calvary chapel crossfields. our pastor, joe, is the most genuine pastor i have ever experienced. he has always and continues to state from the pulpit that he is a sinner saved by grace, that he is grateful to god that he is no longer the person he was before salvation. i say amen to that, as i sure am grateful i am not the person i was before i was saved! i sure would not like to be held accountable for my life before salvation, and that is the truest blessing of jesus saving grace; we are no longer accountable for those things we did before. for sure this is spiritual in nature, that forgiveness, and sometimes the consequences of our previous lives still live on, but our blessings outweigh those a thousand fold. we recently lost our lovely daughter at the age of 32. while heartbroken to the bone, our pastor and our church walked us through the valley. i have no idea how we would have done without joe's and others support and grace. joe helped us bury our daughter, and at her funeral multiple hands went up to accept jesus as their saviour after pastor joe's message. as called for in scripture, we accept pastor joe not only as a friend, but as our shepherd. this is not something we take lightly and would never submit to that unless we were rock solid sure of the man in that position. we are sure of pastor joe. i travel much lately, and because of our experience at calvary chapel crossfields, i always seek out a calvary chapel church to attend while out of town. some are big, some are tiny, but i know if a guy like pastor joe is in the pulpit, i'm blessed. if you are seeking a church to call home, with a genuine and called by grace to serve pastor, this is where you need to be. are we perfect? no, because people are not perfect, but as for me and my house, we will serve the lord at calary chapel crossfields as long as we live. jim prendergast read more

Please read this testimony first. I have been with Calvary Chapel Crossfields for sometime now. I became a believer back in 2005, and this was the first church I called my home church. I immediately felt welcomed and at home from the very first sermon. It was smaller so we were close, and we have a great sense of family not only inside the church, but outside as well because fellowship isn't just on Sundays. We are there for each other, and the Pastors and Leadership pour themselves into anyone who is willing to learn about Jesus Christ, those who want to follow closely to his teachings, and those who want to discover what God purpose is for them in their lives. I remember the first day our Senior Pastor asked us to start praying for a new building to grow into, and now a few years later God has done, and continues to do, wonderful things everyday there. I moved away to live in North Carolina for about three years before moving back to Jersey and I cannot tell you how amazing it is to see how God has used Calvary Chapel Crossfields and God's people there in mighty ways. First and foremost the spiritual growth in our Senior Pastor and the Leadership there is beautiful!! And to see how God answered our prayers from years ago is truly a sight to see, and i'm glad I am a part of it. The negative comments that are on here are not what I have experienced at all. The Pastoral staff there has always loved my family and I, and the Pastors there always point me back to God. They help me to develop my relationship with Jesus, and reach out with compassion to help out if any family issues should arise which have happened to me recently and I was offered counseling right away. All are always welcomed there. No matter where or what you come from, the church always has its doors open to those who want to learn God's word verse by verse. There are many outreaches to the community, and the there are so many opportunities to get involved with helping others who are in need of God in this world. The teachings are filled with love and spirit, and the Pastor takes the time to explain The Bible during the sermon or after. I can compare this church to a large Italian family. They are so happy that you came and cant wait to feed you...in this case the word of God. From the second I walked into this church I was poured into. The pastor and his wife are amazing people with incredible testimonies. They are truly a picture of what God can do in someones life. They are gracious and so willing to do whatever they can for their church. Not only are they great but all of the people in the church are extremely friendly, welcoming and close knit. When we are given the time to greet each other after worship and prayer it takes quite sometime for us all to finish saying our hellos its pretty funny and also makes you feel like this is family. The bible is taught verse by verse that really stick to the word and dont water it down or try to gain numbers they just teach you the truth in other words we get solid bible teachings and better yet encourage you to ask any question you would like.They aim for authenticity, come as you are kind of attitude. The senior pastor is very informed and great teacher of Gods word as is his wife and all the other pastors and elders of the church. . The worship team is great and always gets me excited to receive the word and pumped up and inspired before we part. We pray like family and love each other as brothers and sisters. I think anyone who is looking for a church with interesting and loving people would feel right at home here. I've been to a quite a few a churches, or Christian Fellowships. Calvary Crossfields not only satisfies what I am looking for in the Word of God, but also satisfies my intrinsic need for fellowship with other believers. Calvary Crossfields teachers really dissect and teach the Word in the most logical way and in a way that makes sense to me. They read books of the Bible in their entirety and have no "weird" pet doctrines. In comparison to a few other churches I have been to I really love the teaching style. People I have brought to service, believers and non-believers, have all loved the fact that the Pastors teach and do not preach. From the first Wednesday night Bible study I have attended I have formed great relationships with members of the Body. I feel at home when I am Calvary Crossfields. I have had various problems (family, sin, etc.) and no one has ever judged or even distanced themselves from me. The Pastor and his wife have truly made it evident they care about me and others in the body. My family at Crossfields has held me up when I could not stand on my own and have helped me through someone of the hardest times in my life. They have shown me what integrity, unconditional love, and a sound walk with the Lord looks like, If you are looking for a relationship with the Lord and a place to be encouraged and taught about your Heavenly father, this is the church to go to. My family has attended Calvary Chapel Crossfields from its inception and pastor Joe is one unique teacher that does an excellent job at bringing verse by verse message and connecting you to practical life applications. We have moved to Indiana for for work related reasons about a year ago and my family still misses the teaching of pastor Joe. He is very transparent when it comes to delivering his messages and that's what I appreciated the most. You have to think about this, when you leave the church on Sunday, do you want to walk away with some fuzzy feelings or be thought biblical truths that you can apply in your life and in turn have an effect on others around you. Some folks like the fuzzy feeling type of a sermon that's why some mega churches have huge audiences. There's nothing more edifying to your souls then speaking truth in love, it's what Jesus did. Many times I would stream CCC messages of pastor Joe at home, and I would hear, "hey dad, is that pastor Joe?) from my kids :) Yes, outside of being our pastor, we considered him as a dear friend and a brother in the Lord. I pray that he continues to teach in the ways of the Lord, continue to do many things in the Jamesburg community and shine the light in dark places by speaking truth right from the bible. Calvary Chapel Crossfields is my home church. It is a diverse church in many ways and has many things to offer. After service we stay and fellowship with each other sometimes for hours while the kids are playing outside in the play area. The preaching is real and straight from the Word. It isn't always we would like to hear but what we need to hear. We have a great rapport with the town of Jamesburg and they have often called on us during the storms/floods to take into our church displaced people to stay until they can go back to their homes. Last year we opened up our church to become a blood donation center and are continuing that trend for the upcoming years. We often have outreaches whether food outreaches or the 'backpack/school supply outreach' open to the community and never ask for donations, it is our way of giving back to the community. We also have our own Trenton homeless outreach as well supporting outreaches to Newark via Calvary Chapel Newark. In addition to that, we have good relations with churches in our area, having a dinner for area pastors last fall and we will be hosting a Senior Pastor's function in April to the Calvary Chapel senior pastors in the tri-state area. I have attended this Church for over a decade now and have witnessed God's blessing bestowed upon it. I have met some of the most genuine people and loving leadership. I have seen people come and people go for a variety of reasons as one would expect. Usually this is due to the transient nature of this area or attributed to preference of church style as people are accustom to. I am taken back that some have decided to post very emotional claims, which appear to be more of a personal attack. I wish to counter that by sharing what I know to be true. This church is a body of people who love Christ. Its leadership is dedicated to serving Christ. It has thriving ministries that outreach to those who are in need (i.e. food, clothing, school supplies, prison, etc...). Our building has been shelter to the community during extreme weather conditions when people needed warmth, food/water, and a place to sleep. We have a multi-cultural congregation who are respected in our community. Pastor Joe provides a true and accurate teaching/interpretation of the bible. He also lives it by making himself accountable. He is has the heart of a shepherd and is dedicated to following Christ's example of making disciples of those who believe. read more

Let me start off by saying I love this church Love the people that go to this church. I have been a member of this family for about 1 year. Since I have been there my life has changed.My life was good, NOW my life is GREAT Since I have met pastor Joe and His wife They are the most beautiful people My wife and I have ever met. I look at the postings off 1 person who has posted under different names to poison this website and I think what a IDIOT. These people are so incredible how anyone can sit here and say ANYTHING negative about this church, This is insane. They do all these out reaches for people with different problems and never ask for anything back. Pastor Joe has devoted his life to help you get a 1st class seat upstairs and you have IDIOTS that come on here and make up story's about this GREAT man. This church has truly become a second home to us. We've been attending church there for about a year now and we just had our wedding and wedding reception there. From the very first time we went to Calvary we were welcomed by everyone- Pastor Joe's sermons always teach us so much and help us relate the bible to our own lives, the nursery is a place that we immediately felt safe leaving our 2 year old twins, and the overall atmosphere of community and love is so refreshing. The women that take care of the kids in the nursery are friendly and trustworthy, all of the staff members from the greeters to the pastors make every Sunday something that we truly look forward to. The church itself is beautiful, spacious, organized, clean, and it was the perfect place to have our wedding. Pastor Paul and Claire worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding I cannot thank them enough for how amazing they were throughout the whole process from the premarital counseling to the rehearsal and decorating to the actual ceremony and reception the day of. We just can't thank everyone at this church enough for being our second home and our second family, it's such a wonderful place to go every week! read more

Where do I begin? My wife went to this church for the first time over a year ago. When she went in she was greeted warmly and recognized one of her coworkers. She came home and told me how much she liked it and the following Sunday I went. It was much different than the Catholic church I was brought up in but I instantly liked it. The people are friendly and welcoming, the music is great and the Pastors are all top-notch. Pastor Joe delivers the message with warmth and humor and he really knows his stuff. This is not just a message but an education also. My wife had been experiencing major health problems for the last year and they could not have been kinder. They delivered meals last year when she was sick and this year when she got sick again, both Pastor Joe and Paul both made themselves available to us and recently when my wife passed, they were both so very helpful. Pastor Paul and a member of the worship team did two of my wife's favorite songs at the wake and Pastor Joe did a wonderful job with her funeral. Even my old-school Irish-Catholic mother was impressed. So long story short, if you're looking for a new church this is the place. read more

I consider ccc to be my home church and my family for many years. We just had an awesome vbs for the kids where many from the community who don't attend our church dropped their kids off all week because they trust us. We are a church plant from cc old bridge and are very active in the community....it is very tragic when we live in an age where cyber-bullies can hide behind their keyboards and post defamatory content from alias email names and multiple email accounts unchallenged, and then insult those who post positive things because they were ministered to when tragedy has struck them. Ive been here almost from the beginning and we never had an 'M.D., Sam. P, G.S. or Sally M' attend our church. Don't be fooled by good reviews because they are assisted in a financial way- Really? - wow that could become very expensive considering all the positive reviews. One thing we do agree upon is 'to be sure your sin will find you out' Numbers 32:23. The positive reviews are from real people who had real experiences not from aliases with an agenda to destroy, check it out for yourself. read more

My wife and I began coming to this church in August of 2012. She was recommended of this church through a friend and had nothing but good things to say about Pastor Joe. After taking her advice and coming one Sunday, we INSTANTLY felt at home there. Both of us, not being to a church for a very long time, found that it was much more comforting than we expected, and that we were acknowledged by the people of the church right from the beginning. We never felt pressured nor still in any way by any of the leaders or members there, in fact we felt led (with the power of the Holy Spirit) to serving the church in our own ways. We have made many good friends and we feel that the leadership in CCC is top notch. Pastor Joe is very well versed of the scriptures and very knowledgable of the way he teaches it. He is a joy to listen to and the same goes for the rest of the pastors, elders, and other leadership at this church. He is that person who is in the arena. He is that person whose face is marred by dust and sweat and yet continues who strives - on a daily basis - ever so valiantly and selflessly to help those in need of spiritual, intellectual and emotional nourishment. Calvary Chapel Crossfields is an awesome place to worship, enjoy fellowship as if you are with family, learn the Word of God and live it out to its fullest potential. They are active in the community and will be starting a young adults ministry in February of this year, very exciting........... BUT sadly we live in an age where Cyber-Bullies BRAVELY hide behind their keyboards/monitors using "Projection" (ascribing self-loathing qualities to others in order to assuage their own guilt) and use numerous aliases to make their fictitious posts look legitimate (we have never had a Jonathan G, Sally M or GS in our church) in an attempt to sabotage an organization or assail another's character with whom they disagree because they are to cowardly to speak to them in person. Nice try but it isn't working, the parking lot is still full each Sunday. If the Lord is in it, all attempts to destroy it will fail. If the Lord isn't in it, He will bring it to nothing. read more

Our family has been attending CC Crossfields for over 2 years and we must say it's a very active, growing, and "real" church. They have something for everyone with plenty of fellowship and opportunities to serve. Our teens even enjoy attending and are involved with the youth group. The church leadership has very solid biblical teachings and guidance so it's nice to know they stand on the Word of God regardles of spiritual attacks that may arise within the church. This is the type of church where you will feel challenged in your faith and enjoy the spiritual growth that comes from the love and encouragement of the church family and leaders. They live out God's word through their actions and extend mercy and grace time and time again. If you are a Christian who is serious about growing in your walk with Jesus and hearing ALL of what God has for you, this is the church for you. Both my wife and I were married this past summer by Pastor Joe, and it could not have been a more pleasant experience. From the moment we first entered Calvary Chapel, we were treated like family, and our guests remember the ceremony led by Pastor Joe as one of the best they had ever been to. Pastor Joe put all of our pre-wedding worries at ease, and was more than accommodating on the day of our wedding. We feel that Pastor Joe will always be a part of our family, and we could not be happier that we selected him as the officiant at our wedding. Our homeschool group has had the recent privilege of being hosted at Calvary Chapel Crossfields. The staff and church have been most accommodating to our children and families on a weekly basis. Pastor Joe and his staff have gone out of their way to bring us the comforts of home right in their church and are continually available for any needs that arise in our homeschool community. Being available to share God's word with our students, teach on specific curriculum topics, help organize events for the children, help to accommodate allergy needs within the group and so much more are just a few of the things we are extremely grateful for that CC Crossfields has provided for us. If you are looking for a Bible believing church to call home, you have found it. Pastor Joe is so gifted at taking the scriptures and really making you understand them. He is a wonderful person who has surrounded himself with a staff that is as kind and gifted as he is. They have helped my family throughout the years through some very difficult times. I love that Calvary Crossfields is informal and welcomes everyone. There are lots of ministries you can get involved in. I especially love the children's ministry which so lovingly teaches God's word's in terms the little ones can understand and the Berean Room which reaches teens in really unique way. I came to Calvary Chapel a few times with my friend. She and her husband are members. Her husband just passed away and my Church did a bereavement luncheon for them. I wish to publicly thank Christine, Heather, Pastor Joe, Pastor Paul and Pastor Vinny for ALL THEIR help, love and support. The congregation donated sandwiches, desserts, salads to our luncheon. They gave their time, their love, and their help to make this bereavement luncheon a success, No questions asked, no if and or buts...they were there, arms open, to help their fellow members. There are no words to express my gratitude for all that they did. We made friends that day, forged a bond we hope to bring with us nto the future.
