The community is amazing, I have met so many beautiful souls attending this church and has helped pull my husband, our kids, and I closer to God. The church is beautiful I hope to renew our vows. Kids will be attending catechism here. Also I have found that every time I am going through a challenging situation God seems to send me a message through the gospel. It's a small comgregation. They sing the old hymns, have sunday school at a table in the sanctuary. They stay true to the Infallibility of the Bible. Preaching is good. He has a downhome air, willing to hold himself accountable to the Congregation. Anyone whose seeking a conservative mode of worship and Amiable group of folks will find it here. Highly recoomended. The sanctuary is clean,interiors beautiful. Parking is gravel but easy to navigate.

The Catholic Men of Yuba City know how to cook! For $6.50 all the penne pasta with a thick hearty sausage chunky tomato sauce pasta you can eat with garlic bread and a ice burg lettuce salad. It also includes soda or for the age appropriate family members red or white wine. What a bargain. They also had Italian creme cake for dessert. The young catholic teens served as hosts and servers to raise money for the youth group. The Knights of Columbus also have a Crab Feed in January with killer marinated all you can eat Crab, this is a bigger event that includes Raffles and a band. The tickets are around $40 and are worth it!

Why do I make the 30 minute drive versus staying in town & driving 2 miles? Because of the parishioners, the priest, and the overall friendly, welcoming atmosphere! I have attended Mass several times in Yuba City, but never felt welcomed & always felt like I was just "one more face in the crowd". At my first visit to Sacred Heart, several people greeted me, asked if I was new to the community, and welcomed me to their parish. So, for me, it was an easy decision to make! As far as the parking situation goes, there is a parking lot, behind the church, that is easy to park in. I've never had any trouble finding parking, even when I was arriving 5 minutes before Mass started! There is also parking on the street, in designated parking spots, that can fill up quickly, but the lot is big & there are always open spots.
