I was hopeful that this Church would meet our needs in the area of recovery because it is said to be open and welcoming to those of us in the bondage of addiction. No warm welcome. I had to go find someone and introduce MY self. I was ignored and I just got a bad feel. I have since been to a couple other fellowships and now that I look back it appears if your not dressed to kill $$ they don't as willing accept you. My mother in law attended and got a home visit with home baked cookies as she dresses nicely and presents well. I had gone into there clothes closet today to get help with some clothes. The lady's in the clothing closet were older, kind and I was made to feel loved and cared for. After the visit I went inside to see if my husband and I could give back by helping with the thanksgiving baskets given out my the church. I went in and was greeted with an abrupt "how did you get in here"? I tried to explain and she demanded I walk with her to lock the door clearly because she feared leaving me alone in the office. She asked what I wanted and said the would help my as soon as the door was locked and I simply said "I was here to offer my help by doing service to your church. I wanted to cry and turned around embraced and hurt. I wont be back.
