Regardless of a glowing history, he had made a mistake and instead of O'Neil helping as you'd expect, he carried on being patronising, rude and argumentative. Must've thought I was born yesterday. Reached out to Colin from the Wakefield store, who agreed with me and confirmed the cut made was of a poor standard. Colin restored my faith and assured me the fitter would be back to rectify... weeks later and nothing. No follow up, no sign of the fitter coming to fix his shoddy work. No calls or emails from Colin. Absolute silence. I'd use your own fitter if you're considering purchasing your floor from here. Or better yet, go to a different supplier altogether.

I…read moreonly needed 7 and when I tried to return the extras they said that it was outside the 30 days and wouldn't accept it because it was a special order. The flooring was a very common line of Karndean which I'm sure they could resell or return. I was never told that I had a limit to return the flooring at any stage. I contacted them and they said that they would ask Karndean to see if they would accept it back but they never responded to me. I rang to check on the status of the enquiry and they ignored my calls (recognising my number). I rang from a different phone and they said they salesman was busy and would call back but he never did. Eventually the store manager responded via Web chat through the website and also said he would see if Karndean would take the boxes back but never replied again. They oversold the quantity to me but then wouldn't accept returns of a common item which I'm sure they would resell within weeks. Then just ignored me. Won't be going back.

This is a word of warning to anyone considering using Liam Billingham from Darlington…read more This individual is one of the most prolific deceitful  tradesmen we have ever come across.   He is impersonating  himself as an experienced flooring fitter, which couldn't be further from the truth. I wouldn't even deem him good enough to be a labourer nevermind skilled tradesmen in this field. From previous inves I think this is echoed by a number of customers he has tried to defraud in the past and what I can see present. After working at the Flooring Mill Mansfield they originally sent him to our property claiming to be one of their senior installers. We therefore allowed him to fit a very expensive form of chevron flooring which he completely messed up due to clearly having no experience in fitting this type of flooring and general lack of skill. After initially completely messing this up he assured us that he would rectify this, then proceeded to fit this incorrectly for a second time, resulting in over 5k worth of damage. We have taken him to court and will pursue him through every channel we need to, to get our money back for the damage and distress he has caused. I would therefore recommend anyone else that has been defrauded  into paying this person money or if you have received a poor installation please also pursue him through the courts and report him to action fraud, the police and trading standards as this person needs to be stopped. Please be aware that after we have completed an investigation on him he seems to be a prolific fraudster. He moves from address to address, changes his contact details then even attempts to change his name to different aliases such as Liam James, Liam Billingham, Liam Grant and his previous company name Floorless Flooring. He also has numerous CCJS all for poor workmanship so I'm not sure how he has ever slipped through the net if previous employers had completed all their necessary checks.
