The good news is that their prices are actually very reasonable for the most part. And I walked in right when they were having tons of deals! The sad part was, none of the clothes I wanted fit right or looked right on me. There were some interesting jackets but I wasn't in a "jacket buying" mood. Now onto the staff. When I first walked in, I couldn't find them. So I looked around and looked around some more and still couldn't find any. I shrugged, thought about how security seems pretty relaxed, then went over to the changing room to try on some of the clothes I would eventually find out didn't fit me right. I did then find staff, but they simply gave me a number and told me where I could go to try on the clothes. They weren't rude and had a pleasant sounding voice. But here is a list of what they didn't say or ask: 1. Can I help you with anything? 2. How did that one fit? 3. Could I get you another one in a different size? 4. How about orange as a color? I never found any staff who were at all interested in me as a customer. I looked around just to check and see if someone else was having better luck but no one was. When I walked by staff they were talking and coordinating with each other. But they simply acted as if there were no customer's in the store. H&M does have some nice products and even though the clothes didn't fit me perfectly, they will fit someone. So they deserve three stars for having a good variety of clothing and having deals from time to time. But two stars are missing because customer service was down right nonexistent aside from someone handing me a number and letting me know where I can get changed.

I mainly stick to the women's sections, but I've ventured over to the men's section from time to time with my boyfriend and I've been jealous over the selection. Even though the women's inventory probably triples what is available for guys, I found that the selection and style was much cooler than the girls. The dressier section of the women's clothes are a little to flashy for my taste, I did pick up a nice grey cardigan which I love because it's not a typical v-neck, and instead it buttons all the way up. Prices vary, some of the more casual clothes are pretty cheap, but the formal selection can be really pricey. This is still a fairly new store so I've found that their sales have been few and far between. Hot Hint: I found a really cool (and durable!) umbrella on sale here. Keep and eye on the accessories and you can find some great deals.

Generally when I am shopping at the mall, I am not wearing my office attire, I am wearing jeans and sneakers. On almost every occasion the sales clerk will give me the once over and turn up her nose and walk away to speak with another customer without so much as a hello. If I purchase something, their "tone" changes instantly! Often I am not in the mood for this blatantly snobbish behaviour so I will leave before I am finished browsing to go look at Sears or a different store. The management here should remind their sales staff about the power of friendly customer service. It would certainly help them to work with a mystery shopping company.

This is a place that's slightly upscale, so you will be paying a higher price than you would at some of the other clothing boutiques in this mall. However, I believe that quality is worth a little extra now and then, so it's always my first stop at HaliShop. They carry all kind of great brands, but they no longer carry my guilty favourite, Juicy Couture. Sad face. Still, the rest is pretty awesome. I've gotten so many of my staple items at Envy, from my awesome squirrel dress to my formal winter coat. I do wish they would carry more accessories, however. High fives to the ladies who work here, as they're always willing to track down an item or check other stores if they don't have something. They're also totally honest with you if you ask them about an outfit you're trying on, which is so helpful when you're shopping solo, such as I usually do. Seriously, check it out the next time you feel like a splurge. It's easily one of my fave places in Halifax for clothing.

We were impressed that the owner and others we met in the location were attentive, knew their business extremely well and offered advice to ensure the work would turn out well. Had we gone elsewhere, I would not have known to keep the euro hem in my new jeans, my husband's sport coat would have been taken in at the wrong seams, and I know his two nice shirts would have been a mess. Everything turned out better than I expected and we have found several other items that we will be taking in over the coming weeks. I found a gorgeous periwinkle colored chiffon blouse for $29 (Regular $68) with just the right amount of sparkle. Charming-- it was love at first sight. Another top with a super soft touch and scoop neck-back had me at hello. (Also $29) Check please! The store's spring/ summer selection was drool inducing-- svelte trenches, willowing summer tops and dresses to class up the best of us. Club Monaco never disappoints when the warm months roll around. I decided upon the two shirts-- they were steals after all. And to further add to my excitement, I received an extra 20% off my purchase because I had my student card. Shwing! It was the ultimate icing on the cake. Students must get 20% sale prices, and I applaud Club Monaco on this. All in all, CM is usually stocked in high class. Prices aren't always friendly, but the quality is great, and shoppers can find some true deals if they hit at the right time. My most recent visit renewed a past love, and I'm looking forward to sporting my new discounted threads. Whew!
