In re-landscaping my south facing wall I wanted a fast growing plant that was flowering and scented. I had removed my 20 year old bougainvilleas and asked Camarillo Nursery about possibilities. I decided on planting Star Jasmine as we looked at what they had in stock, which was in abundance. They gave me a great deal on 5 healthy plants, which we hand picked out, and in 2 weeks they are growing way faster than what i expected. I returned the plastic 5 gallon containers with Fortnight Lillie's in them and they gave me a discount on some other plants. For sure this is the place to go for your landscaping needs with a great selection of quality and quantity plants along with their expertise, not to mention the great pricing! My wife and I just visited for the first time looking for plants to put against a new fence. The service was excellent to say the least! Everyone we talked with was pleasant, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. We were there looking for specific plants, which they had, so we didn't do much pursuing. That having been said, what I could see while surveying as we talked with Al, looked to be a pretty vast selection for what appears like a small place from the out side. The prices seem about average compared to other local places, but the attitudes of the people, the atmosphere of the place (little birds happily flittering about) make it absolutely worth it. read more

We came here to replace some patio potted plants that dried up while we were away. Mary was so very helpful. She lead us to some good flowering plants that would be more sturdy if left alone for a few days. She was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to recommend. After a while we had a good assortment. The Camarillo Nursery was always somewhere I wanted to stop at, but never knew if it was open to the public. Several months ago while driving by on the 101, I saw a sign that they were, so I was able to stop in, what a great surprise!! I have been back multiple times and have come to know many of the staff, Chubbs, Alfonso, Julia, Maya and Mary the manager. I was also able to meet and talk to David one of the owners. I just want to thank you all for exceptional home town service and your knowledge of plants and soil. They have a great selection of plants for any California landscape. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other nurseries I go to. The next time your near Camarillo please stop in and check it out, I promise you will not be disappointed. I wanted to add some greenery to the balcony of my townhouse. I was thinking about getting some boganvillas but after speaking to Cowboy Al he suggested another beautiful plant, Silver Sheen. I purchased 4 and he was kind enough to deliver them to my house. He also took the time to explain how to tend my soil for the best results. He was very knowledgeable and patient as I wandered around with my 2 kids. He even brought them lollipops. Al was so helpful! We went in to pick out birds of paradise and a couple other plants. He showed us all different sizes and options. He gave us info about care and soil too. My college aged kid and I came to Camarillo Nursery for some guidance. Our backyard is a weed heaven with clay soil. Alonzo, Julia, and Jose were super friendly and highly knowledgeable. They gave us directions on how to amend the soil so we could actually plant. They understood our tight financial position and encouraged us to keep coming back for more guidance until we are ready to pick our plants. We now have a vision and a plan to make it happen.
