Today is my consult with Dr. LaCamera for my 4th one in 18 years. The first one in 2003 was good, with no reason to see him for ten years. But two tumors in 2009 necessitated another colonoscopy in 2011. Those polyps put me on the 5 year plan. The third, in 2016, resulted in 3 undetermined polyps which put me on the 3 year schedule. I'm hoping that the next scheduled colonoscopy returns me to the 10 year schedule. Dr. LaCamera is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. My consultation with him is a back and forth of questions and answers - concerned and friendly. His staff mirrors his positive traits - always professional, patient, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. If I have to undergo this necessary procedure with it's cumbersome, unpleasant preparation the day before, at least I know that my surroundings and the people in those surroundings are wonderful & beyond reproach!

But I would NEVER want to venture through modern medicine without the type of guidance this practice provides. You'll get the most value from this if you're someone who is proactive about their health and longevity. If you're into that - prepare for the best experience of your life. Most people don't care about their health until it's already failed. Dr Matusewicz has some miracle-patients that have recovered from crippling ailments as well -- but my point is, you have to be willing to make some small changes in your life (and not just depend on surgeries and prescriptions to reactively fix things that have failed). If you do unfortunately need to go into surgeries and prescriptions, Dr Matusewicz becomes even more necessary. I would have had my surgeries done by a junior surgeon at the local hospital if it was not for her. She sprung into action, and somehow managed to get me under one of the world's leading surgeon's knife within 72hrs of my diagnosis (at one of the world's best hospitals). I would have paid 100x what I have paid Dr Matusewicz for just this one example of how she's helped me and my family. I constantly tell people they NEED to get a Doctor like Dr Matusewicz to help them and their families. I truly feel terrible that people are forced to stumble through modern medicine without the true representation someone like her provides... But if you're expecting the same-old general care physician, who is just going to repeat whatever they were taught in med school - then this is not the practice for you. Dr Matusewicz is constantly exploring the cutting edges of nutrition, diagnostics & medicine. First of all you are always given her full attention.. no rushing or long waits. It is her and her two Nurse practitioners , so you never see an unfamiliar face at your visits (I love that). I am comfortable with her and she always puts my nerves at ease. They always get me in when I need and they have a patient portal for convenience, I have never not got a response with questions or concerns ,they are always on top of it. He's been great and helping my mom navigate some medical issues that she's gotten as she's gotten older. A few years back, she was in a bad accident too and had to go into a rehab center, and they even came by a few times to just check in with her. The office staff and front desk are welcoming and helpful, answering questions. And the nurses are absolutely the friendliest. The office itself is clean, very patient-friendly, and easy to navigate. Another bonus is they have onsite blood work - phlebotomist Dale is super great!
