Do not do not do not use B and B painting and power wash! They scraped the old paint off my house…read morewithout using a drop cloth ( who does that?) , promised twice to clean it up, but once paid never bothered to show up. There are paint chips EVERYWHERE. This has created a massive headache and extra expense in doing the front gardens because there is paint under the rocks, in the soil, etc, all of which has to be tediously removed. I had a vindictive slumlord who actually kept me from getting into the apartments because he didn't like that I was bouncing on him due to the poor living conditions of his properties that are infested with roaches, bedbugs, rodents and fleas. The slumlord also refused to fix anything, I had a door that had been kicked in by another tenant and I had to call the health department on him to even get that taken care of and he keeps me from getting into this facility. No landlord should be allowed to have such power, the only thing they should be allowed to say is if you did or did not pay the rent. Other than that a previous landlord should not have the absolute power to keep someone from getting into an apartment, especially when a slumlord can be vindictive to an innocent tenant. Update 2/12/2025: So the people in charge are trying to get my review taken down and claiming that what I said is not true. It is true that my ex-slumlord gave me a bad reference out of spite and kept me out of getting in here. The worst part is I wasn't even allowed to know what was said so I could sue the guy for defamation as he was intentionally slandering me to keep me in a bad situation and to ask any potential tenant to give a vindictive slumlord as a renting reference is plain wrong. Not only that complaining that a friend of mine came in to defend me is absolutely ridiculous especially when she had many unreturned phone calls to begin with, at least that is what I was told. So if you don't want people coming into your office to defend someone maybe, i don't know, learn how to return people's calls? Even my previous primary case manager said he was playing phone tag with this place after I was declined due to a bad reference from a slumlord trying to get this dealt with so really how is any of this my fault when it all boils down to a piece of sh*t landlord was allowed to be vindictive and keep me out of a place I wanted to get into and I was unable to reverse the decision because of the lack of communication, as well as the inability to be told what was said so I could decide whether or not to take legal action against a slumlord who was defaming my character to keep me out of a nicer place. I would not recommend this or any housing done with income based housing, such as the Richmond Housing Authority, as the idea of contacting landlords when they can just lie like mine did is absurd, especially when these income based housing places are meant to help mentally disabled and elderly people, didn't do that now did they? And to try to take my review down by reporting it is absolutely disgusting because why should anyone else waste their time trying to get in here if a landlord can just be vindictive and give a bad reference to keep them out of the establishment? It doesn't matter if that has nothing to do with you personally or whatever excuse you want to make, it's a corrupt system that people should be aware of and that needs to be fixed because these income based housings are no longer about helping the disabled or elderly, they are, like any other system, about greed and corruption.
