There was a serous lack of oversight, follow-up, and basic checks and balances. We discovered numerous issues, examples; no collection efforts were being made on delinquent units, late fees weren't being charged, invoices were paid without required Board approval, some payments were duplicated or incorrect or work was not properly completed so vendor should not have been paid, owner bill-backs weren't being done/processed so when Felner provided a budget, they recommended a significant increase in condo fees. Knowing this was wrong, we dug into the expenses and discovered units were not being billed back along with various other issues. Felner also paid themselves from Association funds without the required Board approvals. Repairs went unaddressed for months, including serious issues, while unit owners often received no response to emails. Maintenance contracts and reported problems were not consistently monitored or addressed. Ultimately the Board had to step in repeatedly to identify the problems, inform Felner of the problems and push to have these and other problems corrected. Very disappointing experience. We are no longer with this company, yet we are still experiencing problems; they continue to send invoices to Unit Owners for condo fees as one. I strongly recommend that anyone using this company, look closely at all of this for your Association.

After two months of problem after problem and three different loans and multiple hang ups due to their incompetence we had to terminate the sale of the home we had our heart sets on. Hours after giving birth to our son. These people applied for mortgages that we didn't even qualify for. Shouldn't you know the specifications of a loan before applying and putting a hard inquiry on your clients credit? They applied for a loan and then came back and said "oh that one didn't work because you make too much." Uhm, shouldn't you know the income guidelines for a loan before applying your clients for it?! We found another broker and another home and we were in it within a month of looking at it. No glitches. No hang ups. Nothing. It was stress free and simple. With East Coast, it was problem after problem after problem. They knew our loss was their fault because they refunded us costs that they had nothing to do with. They asked us for papers that didn't even exist. Stuff they already had. They delayed important things needed to be done on their end. Verifying employment only days before our THIRD closing date. Stuff that just prolonged the sale time and time again and started to annoy the sellers. It was a disaster. After our problem free second home buying process it's clear to us that this company is totally incompetent. Wanna know the best part, they sent our refund check to the address of the house we LOST!!! ‍
