They make you pay $169 for the session (which I thought was the price) but then if you want your photos you have to pay an additional fee which the basic package is an additional $189. Like why on earth would people pay for the $169 studio fee without getting any sort of digital photos? Use to love them but will never be going back. read more

Camera Shy used to be the best, but there new pricing model is TERRIBLE! I would rather have ONE price and get the online gallery than multiple prices and be forced to purchase their prints. I get it, they take pride in their work and want it to be shown off, but I want the freedom to do what I want to with the images as well. Before having my baby I looked around for different newborn photographers, all of which required booking weeks or months in advance and were $400+ for a 30 minute photo shoot (charging extra for each of parent). I booked a shoot with Camera Shy just 2 days in advance and had an amazing experience! They were super helpful and our photographer Jessi was awesome with our baby. The photoshoot slot was scheduled for an hour but Jessi was able to get everything and more than we expected in that hour. I would definitely recommend coming here, and if you are unsure about the specific photographer you will get as you cannot choose online, call in to make an appointment and you won't be disappointed if you schedule a time with Jessi! read more

We have been going to camera shy for years! I just booked a session thinking it would be its typical price of $150 come to find out they have changed their policy and that's just the price for studio fees. NO PICTURES INCLUDED. That's absolutely insane. So now I'm going to be paying over $300 just to get my photos and sorry you usually have teenagers doing the pictures and they are mediocre. Not worth over $300. So then I try to cancel and you can't even get your money back!!! Very disappointing and after this session we will never be coming back. Wild business model. My photos turned out absolutely beautiful. I was initially told that I could come in store and pick out the top photos I wanted but when I called to set that up, I was informed that was not the case. They have you select photos you DON'T like from what they email you and they will find substitutes. So you're not allowed access to all of them. I can't even give Camera Shy Lehi a single star. Our experience today was nothing but horrific. The ignorance that the photographer showed to my children was unacceptable. We went in for spring pictures with the bunnies. I spoke to an employee prior to making the appointment and they confirmed they would have the bunnies. We got there and the photographer asked what we wanted. I told her group pictures with my two girls and a picture of my deceased son and then individuals. She said ok we could do that. She was very cold with my girls and kept grabbing my 1 year olds arms. She spent more time messing with the bunny then taking pictures. She rushed us threw and then I had to remind her that we Needed to do pictures with my sons picture. She said oh I can do one in here. And then rushed us to the next room. She took a couple pictures then told us, I can do one more picture. What?! I said what do you mean? She said your appointment is only 15 minutes. I told her that I was not told 15 minutes when I booked the appointment that I thought it was 30 minutes like it had been. She just said no. She rushed us through and was very rude. I would have paid triple anywhere else than to be treated so ignorantly here. I had been here previously on many occasions for pictures and have been more than satisfied but unfortunately I will never go back or recommend anyone ever go here ever. I hope management can resolve this so no one ever has the experience my girls did. read more

We went in as a large group. We felt rushed we knew we had 80minute. After 30minutes other photographers were pushing us out of the rooms we were using. Our photographer seemed inexperienced and our photos show that. We mentioned that we didn't get to use our entire time and still had to pay for the full 80min. Im sad we paid over $200 for not that great of photos. We did our research before we chose camera shy and picked them because they had longer sessions then other places. I will probably never go back to camera shy after our experience. After we talked with the manager. We were able to do a reshoot of our photos that turned out a lot better. I am so disappointed in Camera Shy. I have been to Camera Shy twice now. Before my last session I had emailed them on Facebook to see if there were any promotions going on. I didn't get a response until after my session that there was a deal for $5 off plus two free sheets (It was over a week later I got this response). The day of the session I had also asked them if they had any promotions and they said no. They didn't give me the offer, but said they would give it to me on my next session. I make an appt. for a third session and emailed them to make sure that they apply the offer. They emailed me back saying they would apply it, but then told me they didn't see my appt. I had made the appt. a month ago online. They weren't able to get my time that I had booked it for, but rescheduled it to a later time. For the inconvenience they would only give me $5 off. They said that is all they can do. This is coming from the director and the owner of the company. So I missed out on a promotion on my last session because they didn't get back to me on time and didn't even offer it to me, but would give it to me if I book another session. Then they lose my appt. and move it to a later time. For the inconvenience they only give me $5 off. You would think for being a repeat customer that they would bend over backwards for you, but no. Thank goodness I found out before I went there. I have twins that are going to be one and a 4 yr old and I don't live close to their West Jordan location. It would have been awful. I ended up canceling my appt. I'm just not happy with how they have consistently treated me with poor customer service. read more

We did our family pictures and individuals of our children. They started on time but the whole process does feel a bit rushed. You get 40 mins with the photographer. No more, no less. Our photographer was not overly helpful with suggesting what outfits would look better (I had brought 2 choices for my little boy). He also kept asking me what poses did I want my kids to do. I felt like he could have been more creative on this. While I did like our pics, I am disappointed that the editing process is the bare basics. Head swapping is an extra $15 per head. They tout you will love your pictures but will not do much as far as correcting the bad ones. You get a bunch of pics (good and bad) on a flash drive that you can go through on your own at home. At the end, and while you are paying, they strongly suggest you tip your photographer which I was a little taken back by. Our session cost right around $100. This is our second time using this studio. I do like them and will go back again for our annual pictures. Improve the editing process. It shouldn't cost extra. read more

I went here a couple of months ago to take newborn pictures, and was really liking their $89 special with a CD and no extra sitting fees. Plus newborn pictures are absolutely adorable and I just *had* to get them done with my youngest. Of course my baby would sleep blissfully through the entire photo shoot. Just like the pictures insinuate, right? I foolishly thought it would be a breeze but my baby had other plans. The little one was pretty fussy from the get-go. Actually, more like screaming bloody murder the whole hour. The kind people at Camera Shy had all the tricks in the book to make an angry newborn seem comfortable: heat lamps, soft blankets, white noise (hairdryer), you name it. I was very impressed. These people were very patient and even took a little longer than the allotted time to make sure we had some good pictures. They had clothes and props available as well, but I was a little hesitant to use them because hey, it's a newborn and don't put any other baby germs on my baby (yes, I actually had this thought as a slightly crazed postpartum momma, never mind that I was bringing a two-week old into a public place). A lot of varied backdrops are also available. I was very pleased with the final results. The only reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars is the way they make you come back to get your CD via another scheduled appointment time. It was hard enough getting my kids and baby ready for one appointment let alone two in a single day. Otherwise, a huge thumbs up! I will definitely come here again to take more family pictures. read more

Savanna was my photographer for my 2.5 week old and she was INCREDIBLE. The way she calmed my baby and positioned her for each picture, she is a natural and is SO SO talented. The pictures turned out amazing and I will definitely be recommending this place! I couldn't be happier. Again I'm just beyond impressed with Savanna and her ability to work with a newborn. (This review is for the Gardner Village location) we took my daughter here for her 6 month pictures, and the girl who took them was fabulous with her! My baby was kinda grumpy and wary of her surroundings, but photographer was so cute and silly with her, she got some similes out of her eventually. We had never been to Gardner Village before, and it was a cute little location to do outdoor photos. The prices were fair, and the CD with our photos were ready within an hour, which was awesome. The only gripe I had was the selection of our photos included some obviously bad photos where we were blinking, my baby's diaper was showing, or we were in the middle of speaking(or so it looked). And the edited photos were just ok. I actually went home and used Photoshop myself on all the photos to touch them up. I totally didn't mind since it was fast, the prices are great, and they were so sweet with our family. We will definitely go back and see them again! read more

We have had family pictures taken here many times but this time they decide to slap terrible filters on all the pictures not one or two all of them. When we call to see if they could send the originals so we can do our own touch-ups they vehemently refused. We then ask if they could take a look at a few of them because it's clear the filter they used is the problem. They proceed to say "The raw images look the exact same"... really when your lips are glowing red and your complexion looks more like an oompa loompa... you expect people to believe that lie. It's different if they simply refused to help but deciding to completely lie to save face is not something I look for in a company I want to patronize. read more
