I've been here a handful of times in between hating and trying to find other dentists. In case I haven't made it abundantly clear in my past dentist reviews, I hate them. The very thought of stepping inside a dental surgery (even if it's just for a standard clean) makes me quake in my boots. They simply horrify me. Who likes using ridiculously shaped utensils to poke about in someone's mouth? Anyway, let's put my bias aside for a moment. Mitchelton Dental didn't do much to assuage my fears. It's not their fault; I'm a pretty bad patient in a dental chair. And during my last visit I had to have a bit of a painful procedure, so I can't shift all of the blame onto them, because the dentist I had was really quite lovely to me. She just didn't tell me what the hell she was doing in my mouth as tears were rolling down the side of my face. If I'm going to suffer through someone poking and prodding and grinding small machines around in my mouth, I'd like to be kept informed, that's all I'm saying. More basic procedures and cleans aren't dreadful here at all and they actually do a good job, leaving an exceptional finished product (according to my new dentist). I'm just a massive chicken and like to be molly-coddled while I sit in a dental chair. They do bulk bill here too, by the way. Hopefully I haven't scared you off. The reception staff and dentists I've had here have all been very friendly and accommodating, so I'll definitely recommend them; they just weren't a good fit for me. But like I said, I'm a ridiculously shaky scaredy-cat.

They make me feel at ease and calm me down so much. If you are unfortunate enough to need a filling, ask them about using their rubber lining - it is amazing and not all dentists do this. They put this contraption in your mouth which looks super scary, but actually stops all the yuckiness of a filling going into your mouth and just sits in this rubber thing instead. They are all super lovely and it is a really nice environment.... as far as a dentist goes.

My daughter has been practice manager for 2 of the top Bne Specialist dentists over many years, and now in medical. I had an emergency situation & hadn't found a new dentist yet so begrudgingly had to call Camp Hill, I got in to see Dr Adrian Malisano in a few hours. My daughter had said to me don't let them sell you a crown when she saw my tooth. Adrian was totally awesome, I was blown away. The BEST dentist I have ever had. He fixed the tooth and said don't let anyone do a crown on it! I was sold on him, No upselling, kind, patient centred, and amazing. For all he knew I was just an old lady who knew nothing, I didn't mention my daughter. Even called next day on day off to check all was well. I will be going to him as my dentist from now on, if he moves practices I will also, even if I have to travel. He is amazing!!!!! (not my real name :)))

My advice is…read moredon't agree to have ultrasonic cleaning or polishing as these are well documented causes of serious damage to teeth with veneers or other restorative work. I got a 2nd opinion from a dentist well outside the city which was referred to me by a family member (retired dentist) and I didn't need any fillings just one fisher seal and a comprehensive clean plus a couple new xrays and It was still about 1300 dollars cheaper than the swish quote

I was worried that I would have to get the tooth pulled out but it turned out I just needed a clean around the area. The dentist was nice and kept making jokes which made me feel comforatable. It didn't break the bank either cos they put it through my health fund and I didn't have to pay extra. That was nice.

Peter Haines at MJ Mylne Dental has been my dentist for the last six or seven years, and I'm very…read morehappy to keep my records there. Peter's a gentle older guy, very good at explaining what he's going to do prior to diving in without warning. When I told him that I get anxious about needles, he actually listened, giving me plenty of warning (and numbing gel) and talking me through everything. I assume this is his standard way of operating, as this is one of the reasons he was recommended to me by a workmate in the first place. The dental nurses and receptionists at MJ Mylne are also all lovely to deal with. There's generally very little wait time, and fillings are performed very quickly. There's another MJ Mylne clinic at Cleveland, and Peter spends his time between the two clinics, so some days he is available at Cleveland and other days at Capalaba. I'm abstaining from five stars for MJ Mylne Dental because in the last twelve months I had to take an appointment while Peter was on leave, and I wasn't a fan of the younger dentist who took my appointment. He was quite rough and spent the duration of my appointment chatting (to the point of flirting) with the dental nurse. Not Very cool - and yet if anything, made me more confident in choosing Peter as my dentist.

You know when your friends winge to you about their dentist being un-sensitive because he just shoved a bunch of needles in their mouth? At Princeton Dental, my dentist has never jabbed a needle without warning me, and even then I find his "needle shoving skills" are pretty gentle. Not only that, but he is pretty quick, and will make won't waste any of your time. Another good perk is that if you are with MBF private health insurance, you can claim a whole lot back! I have only had to pay $30 for something that should have cost me $300! Pretty good. So if you live in the area and are unsure which dentist to go to, I suggest you come here!

This ain't no chiropractor: mostly, she'll fix you up with just one appointment, but unless the problem is chronic (and consequently requires regular treatment), you'll probably never have to see her more than thrice for the one problem. Crazy good. She accepts a range of private health providers, so depending on your cover, you'll probably just have to cover a very reasonable gap. If you have a problem with your leg, back, arm... anything with a muscle, get thee to Judy!
