I am 82 years old and have had many horrific dental experiences which have left me with some very ugly-looking mismatched visible teeth which have affected my smile and confidence. Dr Angus Quinn has just completed a Bridge and when I saw the result I was nearly in tears as the colour match was perfect, the teeth looked more real than my original teeth, the fit was perfect and suddenly I am now really happy to smile. The surgery has the latest state-of-the-art equipment, bright surgeries with views of trees, the charges are competitive, and I must not forget to mention the very friendly and obliging reception staff. I've been going to St Lucia Dental for well over 10 years. I've had some really lovely caring dentists there, albeit they don't work there for very long. The facilities are new, well cared for and hygienic. Parking is easy. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful. The dental assistants have always been attentive and gentle. I continue to go there. There is one little bug bear and that's witnessing the owner having hissy fits at his staff over minor issues like appointment stuff ups. I was there recently to see it first hand as I was walking past and it made me very uncomfortable. The staff elevated the volume of the music but it wasn't enough to drown out his loud angry tirade. I just thought it was quite unprofessional and I felt really badly for the dental assistants being roused on. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, that's all. In this day and age, this type of behaviour would get you a visit to Human Resources for bullying. read more

Huge thanks to Jessie for cleaning my teeth of more than a decade of tartar build up. After nearly 15 years of eschewing dental visits, my teeth were in terrible condition, and I was carrying an ingrained psychopathology about them. I was especially phobic of the dreaded cleaning. Jessie provided a flawless treatment and bedside manner. I'd expected a clinic overcroweded with UQ students. It's a modern, sparkling facility with 3-4 smiling receptionsists catering to 2-3 patients in the waiting area. My cleaning was 100% covered by insurance, and my other procedures were fractions of what I'd predicted. Thanks also to Dani, Sue, and Carmen for assisting. And thank you to the genial, helpful staff throughout the clinic for providing such an untraumatic experience. read more

I went to St Lucia Dental once just before I went overseas because I'd missed my appointment with my regular dentist. They were so accommodating in squeezing me in, even though I'd never been there before. I saw Dr Angus Quinn, possibly the youngest and best looking dentist I've ever seen. (Seriously, have you ever seen a dentist under the age of 40? I hadn't.) I was on my parents' private health cover at the time, so the check-up cost me nothing. Note: if you're part of the Teachers Union Health Fund, St Lucia Dental is one of their accredited dentists, hence the free preventative dental care. I'm terrified of the dentist. I knew I had been slack with my teeth that I knew it was time for a clean! After reading reviews and confirming they were my health cares provider I booked a clean with St Lucia dental . The building is lovely and the staff and dental nurses are all so wonderful and friendly! I felt very welcome. But I'm reviewing the service not personalities. I got home after my clean and my mouth was swollen and sore. Needed pain killers. Day 2 and I have woken up with a swollen cheek and my teeth are so sensitive and sore and red! I feel the dentist may have been rough with me! I've had fillings in the past that didn't hurt this much! I will have to take pain killers today to eat so not very enjoyable. My gums are still swollen day 4 and now I have horrible tooth pain that I haven't experienced in 6 months :( I would not recommend to see Dr Evans. read more

The absolute ENTIRE staff at St Lucia Dental is just outstandingly caring, patient and courteous. It is definitely a much higher standard than any other clinic I have been to in Brisbane. You can see their smile is real and not just a façade, and so is their effort to really take the best care of you. I discovered them after following my dentist, who used to treat me at a clinic in the city, and now I find it very worth driving all the way from Albion to St Lucia Dental. I saw this Dental Practice via an Advert in a News paper and decided to give them a go, well I was absolutely "Blown Away", from the first moment I made phone contact, the reception staff were more than helpful, I found Madonna to be exceptional, she just couldn't do enough... On the day of my visit with Dr Angus Quinn (It was the beginning of a Total Implant procedure), I found Angus to be a Highly Qualified Dental Surgeon, he extracted (First stage) my tooth with absolute precision, no pain, no problems, his service was above standard... I have absolutely no hesitation in giving this practice 5 starts for excellence and more than 5 stars for their professional and friendly service... This place is amazing! The service is second to none. Madonna out on reception was so beautiful, never have I ever seen someone take so much time with my children to learn about them and to talk and play with them. My girls didn't want to leave. Angus was amazing and really knew his stuff and also took the time to talk with the kids. It's never enjoyable to have dental problems while traveling. I cracked my tooth and unfortunately needed a crown before returning to the states. I was concerned about finding a reputable dentist who would see me on short notice. St. Lucia dental was highly recommended by colleagues at UQ and after a quick phone call with the extraordinarily cheerful and caring receptionist Madonna, I had an appointment scheduled within 48 hours. The facilities and staff at St. Lucia are top notch- bright and clean rooms, new equipment, and professional, friendly staff. I could have them as my regular dentist in the states, I would switch to St. Lucia in a heartbeat! Dr. Quinn is highly skilled and has a friendly and calm demeanor which made an unpleasant situation slightly less terrifying. He repaired my tooth with a perfectly fitting crown, explained everything clearly, and made me feel at ease through the entire process (his great taste in music as an additional bonus). I rarely write reviews- let alone about a dental visit, however I felt compelled to do so here- Dr. Angus Quinn and the staff at St. Lucia are exceptional and fully deserving of 5 stars.
