November 14, 2022 is a day I will always remember. . .  My husband, my son, my two dogs and I were…read moreon our way up north to see my mom.  Unfortunately I never made it there.  We were at a stop sign on Bruce Road.  I was in the back seat of our truck and I heard my husband swear just before the impact of being hit from behind.  The impact propelled our truck in the air, we did a 360 and we came down, upside down, in a field.  When I came to, I was hanging upside down from my seat belt.  The dogs, my husband and son had crawled out of the windows in front with the help of those that helped. I struggled with the seat belt and dropped to the top of our vehicle before I was able to get out. Thankfully, after being checked out at the hospital, my husband had the presence of mind to find an attorney--Albrecht Law.  We met with Evan Schneider and Melanie Evans.  My mind was a blur, but I remember feeling welcome. This duo made this life-altering event easier. They gathered as much information as they could, and I continued to live and try to heal.  At this time, we moved out of state where a job was waiting for me.  Every time I had a question, I would contact them and they would respond, calming my anxiety, contact the medical providers (as bills were piling up), and dealing with the insurance companies.  Often they would call me just to check on me. I went through many ups and downs--I have a traumatic brain injury and PTSD.  This accident has changed my life forever.  I am shocked at how much Evan and Melanie did behind the scenes. This was during the period following the housing market crash. Thus, my loan was had been bought and sold by various lenders like a cheap suit to the point of my not knowing who to continue paying. Following other issues I had dealt with, I eventually received a notice from the latest lender stating I owed an absorbent amount of money, which was nearly twice the amount of the original loan. This was even after I paid a multitude of thousands back to the original lender and the next one who took over the loan via the normal monthly payments. I had just relocated across the country to Bellevue WA and was settling into a new job when this notice arrived, an added a burden I did not have the energy to address at that time. I went online looking for attorneys who deal with financial matters and found this law firm. After the initial consultation, I paid a very reasonable retainer and Jeremy quickly went to work. He cc'd me on letters he sent to the lender and kept me apprised of any changes. Within a fairly short amount of time the lender relented and the issue was resolved in my favor. To top it off, I received over $300 of my retainer back from this firm which simply floored me. I don't know anyone who works there personally. Moreover, I have no incentive to write this review other than my deep appreciation for a job well done and for the kindness the few people I interacted with afforded me.
