Mactan-Cebu International Airport - CEB - Final check-in before the adventure

Though relatively small, this airport feels surprisingly spacious. The staff here are friendly and helpful. While they can be strict at the entrance when checking tickets, I was overall impressed with service throughout. A helpful airport porter helped us with our luggage and check in, making sure we were well taken care of. I also thought found the staff at the STARLUX counter to be accommodating and helpful. The airport is clean, organized and stress free. I enjoyed exploring the shopping areas and eateries, which made the wait time pleasant. Overall Mactan-Cebu International Airport left a positive impression.

It seems like everybody has issues when they get up to the counter. The airport is not comfortable: the airport lack air conditioning in some areas and other areas it is working poorly. The seating is very limited, especially around the gates. More seating is available in the food area but you will end up smelling like food when you leave. The airport does have a lot of places to eat and shops. The shops are not too exciting but you can find cosmetic stores, nick knacks, mango shops and more. Enough to keep you busy for a while. The airport does have free wi-fi too.

Hooray- we didn't have to endure a 1.5 hr commute in a passenger jeepney + hiring a motor bike. The shuttle leaves exactly at 9 am with or without passengers! We had the whole coaster to ourselves and hopped back on at 4:30 pm for CDO. Our flight was 10 pm the same day so upon returning we booked for our seats to the airport at Php 199 each. Remember to allot 1.5 hrs to get to CDO Airport on top of your check-in time. Their waiting lounge is clean and equipped with CCTVs (rides too!). The fleet is also monitored by a GPS system. You can even leave your luggage behind their counter (comes with claim tags) and just pick them up before boarding the shuttle.

I rode the Magnum Express shuttle from the Cagayan de Oro airport to the City and then back for my…read morereturn flight. Here are my experiences and thoughts: LOCATION: At the airport, you collect your baggage and walk out the front doors and across the street. Magnum Express is right there with other shuttle services. Stick with Magnum Express. The cost of the shuttle was 199 pesos (about $4 at the time I was there). I paid the fee, got my receipt and they tagged my bag and put it on the shuttle. The shuttle is a van with each aisle having 2 seats on the drivers side and one seat on the passenger side. The last row is a bench that seats four people. The shuttle dropped me off at the Centrio Mall but has other drop off locations posted. When you want to return to the Airport, go to Magnum Express Terminal, which is located at the EAST entrance to the Limketkai Mall. No one seems to know where it is, so just tell the taxi you want the EAST entrance, and it is across from the entrance. If you want to find it while you are at the mall, go out the exit that has the Mercury Drug store on the left side. TERMINAL: The little terminal is very clean, well air-conditioned and has very strong WIFI. The shuttles DO NOT have wifi as some places advertise. You can also buy snacks and drinks here, but with the mall 2 yards away, you can pay a better price at the shops and drug stores there. RIDE: The ride to CDO was very long because of a collapsed bridge as you approach the city. It took us about 90 minutes to reach Opol, and another hour to get into the city because it was a Saturday night and there was crazy traffic. There is nothing to do but sit back and relax. You are in aircon and leather seats while most of the others in buses have neither convenience. The shuttle was about 80% full. I had a two-seat row to myself and was quite comfortable. The return from CDO to the airport on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. left on time and was full of people. The traffic snag from the bridge construction was still a problem, but did not take nearly as long to get through. We arrived at the airport in about 1 hour. All in all, this is the best way to get from the airport into CDO. It is clean, punctual, cheap and professional.

Philippine Airlines - 01.10.24 early domestic flight from CEB to USU

Domestic Flight: CEB to USU…read more I guess I'm fortunate that all went well with our experience with PAL despite their reputation of excessive flight delays and sometimes even flight cancellations so I have no complaints. In total there are only two airlines operating nonstop flights from Cebu to Busuanga/Coron. This is the first time we've used Philippine Airlines for our inter-island domestic flights. We flew Philippine Airlines from Cebu to Palawan in Busuanga. We took the first flight out, an early flight that departs at 7:30a. Our flight left on time, no delays. Flight time was about 1-hr, 5 mins. Check in free baggage allowance is up to 70-lbs. my sister did all the booking, didn't sound like she had any issues with it. Review #3354

This review is based on our experience flying from Cebu to Bacolod…read more I really didn't expect much because I have plenty of runs with PAL (LAX-MNL-LAX) and the overall experience is mediocre at best. Plus it's a short flight (less than an hour) so my overall expectation was on the "meh" level. But I will admit that I stand corrected. The check-in process was so easy, albeit our party of 10. They even secured/taped the zippers (to avoid snags anywhere), xray screening was easy and most important: the flight was on time! (Most people will attest that this is a rare feat for PAL.) Since it was a short flight, I didn't expect a snack service. I was wrong, once again! Sure, it's a smaller plane with less flyers, but they were still able to serve bottled water and a snack. (This is a plus since other airlines only provide drinks/food for purchase.) The only issue: not a lot of leg room. Barely had enough room once I brought the table down. It's a good thing it's a less-than-an-hour flight! I was surprised (more like delighted) that baggage claim was quick and easy. We were outta there in no time! So, yeah, a good run it is! There are other airlines to consider for domestic flights, but PAL may have just made it to my top 3.
