It's a small and cozy place that is perfect for a small group. It's great for lunch and a small drink after few hours of skiing. The 15-Taco plate was simply awesome. After all the activities in Blue Mountain, I was really craving the salty savoury crunch of some nachos. Camino Taco was the choice for this, but the food was rather underwhelming. We opted to sit out on the patio as it was a fairly nice day. The server was very friendly, recommending us the house margarita specials of the day. However, we only ordered the nachos for a quick snack before returning to the other activities planned for the rest of the evening. As per Blue Mountain, the serving size and prices are pretty abominable, with the "nacho boat" being the size of perhaps a small sized portion of poutine and also $21. It also seems to be just ground beef smothered in some pre-packaged cheese sauce and sour cream, topped with some pickled onions and refried beans. The refried beans somewhat saved the nachos, but without any real cheese, tomatoes, or any real fresh ingredients, it was definitely lackluster. The vibe of the restaurant is great, but in terms of Mexican food authenticity, they could do better. Would probably not return here if visiting Blue Mountain again. read more

While the menu could use more variety, especially with the tacos (which weren't the usual style and didn't catch my eye), I opted for the chicken bowl, which was hearty, delicious, and perfect after a day on the slopes. Blue Mountain Village has always offered a variety of cuisines to locals and tourists alike, and now features a Mexican restaurant, Camino Taco. The ambiance inside and out is appealing, and the service is sufficient. The amount of flies and yellow jackets flying around inside weren't fun to deal with though. As for my meal, I enjoyed it, but paying $23, even if it's CAD, is steep for 3 tacos. The tacos were good for what they were, but lacked authenticity. For instance, the chicken in the Stranger Wings tacos had a glaze on it that tasted like an American hot sauce. That was really my only gripe with the food itself. If I couldn't get tacos for $1.50 USD each back home, I'd be more inclined to give this 4 stars. read more

This restaurant is so cute!!! I love the decorations this place is super nice and was small and quiet. This may be problems if they're busy and there wasn't a lot of staff. Though it wasn't busy but we were a large group yet the service was quick and we all got our food really fast. The food was good and the tacos were super delicious and the guacamole was even better. And if you were bringing your kids there is a kids menu with tacos or actually good looking chicken nuggets with lot of fries. Food was poor to middling. Not authentic at all. Margarita's were the nasty slushy ones you'd get at a low quality all inclusive resort. Overly priced even if it was high quality, authentic Mexican. Service also poor. No cutlery provided. No sauces on half of the tables. Restaurant policy's were a joke. Extra cost for additional nachos when an insufficient number were brought for the $26 guacamole. Reportedly had half price margaritas which were charged at full price. Even after informed they reduced the $15 drink to $8. It's only $.50 but come on, how cheesy. Ambiance was reasonable. Maybe play some Mexican music not generic pop. This is a great place if you're looking for tacos and drinks in Blue Mountain village! The restaurant has some cool decor and is great for small groups and tequila lovers. The beef brisket tacos were our favourite- surprisingly, because fish tacos are allllways my favourite. Each taco flavour we ordered was good though (Gringo, Barbacoa, and Baja Fish). They came on a giant wooden plank. The guacamole was a great appetizer too! The service was okay, it was a bit slow with a full house- they forgot to come back to us with a drink we ordered, but oh well. Go early if you're going in the evening on a weekend if you want to get in! I don't understand why restaurants in the village close so early??? Most places were closed (including this place) at 10pm. Every restaurant in the village that closed at 10pm had a line out the door and people were being turned away. It must be some sort of village regulation. We made reservations at the last minute. It didn't seem to be an issue as we were grabbing dinner on a Tuesday evening. The server was friendly and accommodating to our allergies. For our group of four, we ordered the fries supreme ($19) and taco trio to share. Note, you can only order the SAME type if you order the taco trio ($21). Hoping they change this in the near future! I also ordered the Pina Colada Flossy ($16) drink separately. Overall, the Barbacoa was the best flavour. The batter on the Baja Fish taco was on the heavier side, felt like we were eating fish sticks. The Chicken Tinga was just ok. Tortillas were served cold. Canada Day! Got some tacos. We wanted to get Beavertails for dessert and found tacos across the way. The decor is cute and I loved the chairs. They completed the look. There were quite a few different tacos to choose from and we decided on 3 different ones. If you get the same ones, there is a bit of a deal whereas for different ones, each one cost $6.50 which is a bit much considering the local one we have in Markham is $6.50 for two! We decided on the beef brisket, Korean chicken, and fish. The tacos were visually appealing. However when I bit into the "Korean chicken", it tasted like a Taco Bell type beef one. I'm not fond of beef so I asked our server. They had mixed up the tacos. The fish one had a "heavy" batter unlike many fish tacos with light batter. It was more like beer batter. Didn't eat the beef brisket. Once we got the Korean chicken it was ok... I prefer the Markham one. Guacamole and chips was good but our little guy monopolized it. read more

Since I was just doing takeout, I decided to go for their beef burrito bowl which was advertised as brisket. Once it arrived, it looked a bit different from what I expected. It looked more like the Osmow's/Middle Eastern style with lots of (seasoned) rice, stack of meat and lots of white sauce covering it - with not a great deal of veggies. It was fairly expensive - more than $15 if I can recall, but it was a large serving size and the beef was really good quality - it was truly brisket. I was a bit tempted to award at least 4 stars since I did really like the beef along with the refried bean, but I still would've enjoyed a more typical burrito bowl preparation and presentation. I don't recall it even had salsa and the white sauce on it was not something I'd associate with Mexican food (but different from Osmow's sauce). Given the relatively small options, it's still worth trying and the tacos I saw being served looked pretty good, but it doesn't stand out much either. read more

Came here at 4pm on a Sunday. Did not have any issue with service as it wasn't that busy. In fact the staff was very nice and friendly checked if I needed anything 3 times. Love their drinks and food. The only draw back is the taco platter that only comes with a single choice. I wish they allow you to select diff kinds so you can try diff . It was still good I ordered the cod. For the drink it was amazing except I wasn't sure if it is normal that it only came half glass full. It is one of those days where everything just hit the right spot. We have our fur baby with us so we were looking for a patio spot to enjoy our lunch. Camino was very friendly and sat us down with an extra seat for our baby. Food wise, after traveling for a few days and eating out a bit, we (our tummies) were both a bit tired. We shared a chicken burrito bowl and a guacamole, both portions were very very generous. I was so amazed with all the fresh and pickled vegetables they added to the burrito bowl, it was so refreshing and delicious. It might not be what you would expect from a typical Mexican place, but it is definitely delicious. The guacamole was crushed with fresh avocados and truly good. I hate to write a bad review, however if there was an attempt to redeem experience I could of provided a better review. A group of 4 adults and 4 kids attended for lunch. Drink order were taken and delivered all was well. 40 minutes past with no waiter keeping in mind less than 10 tables in shop. Waiter took orders and more drink orders. Drinks came out incorrect we said it was okay and just took what he brought, in addition 2 drinks they forgot tequila in the margarita. 1 drink was fixed but they ended up dumping salt in it and it was not to be consumed and was left on table. Food arrived luke warm and not cooked well. I was hoping for more knowing tacos are pretty hard to mess up and being Latin American. Kids orders were wrong and later were adjusted. I left 2of 3 tacos on my plate. Bill came and one mom offered to pay whole tab and did based on cost. Then some of our party left and we packing up and waiter came back and told that mom he charged her wrong bill and refunded her then charged her more than double. No comp for mistakes, no apology for bad experience etc .... All waiter noted during service is that he may not come Back tomarrow . As a business owner it's important to have reviews like this to make improvements in staff, training, and business operations . 1. Need new waiter 2. Need 2 servers 3. Came in here on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed as soon as we stepped in. Good options for a place in blue mountain that sells pretty good tacos. We ordered 3x barbacoa and 3x Baja Fish. The DONT allow you to mix and match tacos or buy individual which sucks. Taste was good they came out hot, only thing I didn't like was the horseradish sauce on the baja and green apple slices. The price was also pretty pricy but I still would come here if I was craving tacos while in the area. Service was great & quick! read more

Avoid at all costs, it's probably still in business because it's in the Blue village and doesn't need return customers, only new ones that will come because who doesn't love tacos. Limited options, not willing to compromise on substitutions (wouldn't let vegetarian friend order a burrito without meat ..), the avocados were so green the overpriced tableside guac (not made tableside btw) was inedible and flavourless, basmati rice in the bowls and burritos. I agree it's hard to find a good food joint in blue mountain. This is bad though. Mexican restaurants are usually safe bets in my mind. This was not. Had a vegan beyond meat abs my friends had chicken burrito bowl mostly. When they say add guacamole it's a drizzle line of a guacamole. I m not kidding and it's 3$ just for that. This was probably the worst service experience I've ever had. I waited 50 minutes to get my food and the order was incorrect. Everyone else in the restaurant got their food before my family and we arrived before all of them. They told us they were busy, but there was only three other tables besides mine. I wasn't going to even post a review but after talking directly with the owner with little to no remorse over our experience and receiving the worst service at Blue mountain I decided maybe this was the only way to make them realize they need to up their game. We took two bites out of our food and didn't send our food back but asked for our bill so we could get out of there, we got told off by the server for not tipping. Took one bite out of the fish taco and asked for the bill and walked straight out of there, what am I tipping for? Packaged guacamole, tasteless beef and disgusting fish. Great service, great tacos (we had the chicken tinga with jalapeno corn salsa ) and the margarita was awesome.

One of the few places that isn't a burger or pizza joint at the village. We got there right before the lunch rush and was seated promptly even with a big party of 7. Upon looking at the menu, I could tell right away that the price point was above average for Mexican food (but then again we are at a popular tourist spot). Being lactose intolerant, I could only go for the Tulum rice bowl. Our table also split an order of smashed avocado and chips ($16!!) between all of us. The appetizer came first, with the waiter smashing the avocados right beside our table - which was pretty entertaining? I guess. Especially to my friends who's never seen something like that before. However, the guacamole was way too salty! Paired with the salted chips, it was just salt overload for our preference. My Tulum rice bowl was .. mediocre at best. I truly believe this is why people think vegan food doesn't taste good haha! The bowl consisted of a few sliced ice berg lettuce, green pepper, purple onions, cilantro and their lime rice. The lime really punches you in the face when you take a bite -- otherwise there isn't much else to the flavour profile. Just because it doesn't have meat doesn't mean it can't be flavourful, people! I'd say for $16 a bowl I expected more. All in all, I would not go back to this place. I've had way better Mexican foods at way better value. Aside from the food, however, the service was phenomenal! The manager was super nice and made sure to periodically check in on us even with the busy lunch rush. I have been here before and it was great back in the winter time. For some reason this past Monday, my friends and I went in to have some Tacos, we ordered, nuggets, Korean Fried Chicken Tacos, Gringo Tacos, and the Baja Fish Tacos. MY friedn who is extra sensitive about uncooked chicken noticed that the Chicken nuggets combo (with juice box) were pink and didn't want to eat it. We opted for the Fries Supreme instead and returned the order of the Chicken Nuggets. As for the Korean Fried Chicken, we noticed variations of rawness in the Chicken, one was really slimy and pink and the other were pink-ish. We ate it already but noticed after halfway through. We flagged the waitress over and, we never wanted to be that one customer to be disgruntled about the food and wanted it to be taken away and make a big fuss about it, however, it was a situation that needed to be created. We mentioned the chicken situation and she looked at us like she didn't know what to do so she was like "okay...?" We said we can't eat something undercooked, especially chicken, she said "This chicken is white, its white chicken", we saw that it was pink and we told her that we can't eat this. When we later asked for the bill, we kindly asked her if she can remove the chicken from the order. She said "I knew that you were going to come back to me about this chicken so I took photos to my supervisor, the cook said it was cooked and supervisor is refusing to take that order off" I kindly said that we don't want to be upset at her because she is the just the waitress, so we kindly asked to speak with the manager/ supervisor, she said they are not on site, its only her and the cook, so we asked to speak to them, she said they cant't do anything and refuses to take the order off. After much debate she finally took it off, but also charged us for a juicebox we cancelled as part of the combo. I felt bad for the waitress, however, this isn't how you operate a restaurant in a touristy attraction. 3 tacos were $17 by the way. Maye we just witnessed the customer service after a weekend, but it was by far the worst and most uncomfortable experience I have ever had read more

We waited 5 minutes just to get a table outside even though there was like only a few people outside and inside. After we waited another 15 minutes just to order. We ordered 2 tacos each and then waited what seemed like forever now and then received half of our order without them even noticing that I ordered something.
