What a great place. I have 2 labs. One 10 and one 2. They are treated well and lovingly by the staff. The 10 yo is also a tripod and spends time with Sr. Dogs. The 2 yo is full of energy and plays with the large dogs. I love watching them on the cams. I always see staff with them on the cams and the dogs love them. They bunk together and get along well. They always are well groomed when I pick them up and when they get home, they sleep like crazy from all the fun playing at CBW! Love the place and the staff. I highly recommend! read more

Unprofessional, disorganized staff that doesn't care is the impression I keep getting from this place. Had to bring my dogs for boarding because my mom passed away. I made this clear to the lady at the front desk & that I needed everything to go very smoothly. I wanted my payment card on file so I wouldn't have to deal with any of that. I can just pick up my dogs when I return & go home to continue to grieve. Upon picking up my dogs they tell me they don't have the correct expiration date & need the card again even though I uploaded the card to the Camp Bow Wow App upon placing my boarding reservation & confirmed AGAIN about the card details when dropping off my dogs!!!! Very inconvenient & unprofessional. I then asked how my dogs were & how they ate - I packed just enough food for both dogs in pre-packaged ziplock bags. The staff said "they did great & ate very well every meal." But then they gave me 8 full zip lock bags of food back... something isn't adding up! I have very large dogs & every single time I request staff to *please for the love of god* bring me one dog at a time. Do they? NO! They bring both dogs every time & let them maul me & be completely overstimulated. It is nothing but STRESS working with these people. Wow things have really changed this that last review. I never see my dog an camera like I used to. When I dropped her off today their new Covid hours were up. I specifically asked if it meant my dog would be locked up the whole time they told me no. I dropped her off at 10 am this morning and it's 247 pm and I have yet to see her on camera. I am furious. I called another local day care and asked them their hours the dogs are only crated for 1 hour to eat. Camp Bow Wow only lets them out from 10-12 and 12-2 so for the entire 12 hours they are open your dog is locked up for 1/3 of the day. They told me corporate shuts their cameras off when their closed from 11-4. I have screen shots to say otherwise. I paid them to have my dog in a kennel from 10-323pm. I feel like I neglected my dog bc they didn't truthfully answer my question. My dog was only out for an hour and 15min along with the other dogs. They claim it's to avoid dog bloat so they rest them. Rest them from what resting ALL DAY? I'm so upset I used to love this place and right now my heart is broken. read more

I've left my pups here multiple times and have never had an issue. Im very protective of my pups and they are very spoiled so my biggest concerns when we drop them off to places are always if they will be okay and will they be able to have fun while I'm away I've never had to worry about here. They listen to any concerns you may have if you have them and do their best to accommodate them. I definitely recommend bringing your pup here! read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Camp Bow Wow! Our rescue dog Ebony has been rehomed twice and has bad separation anxiety so we were very worried about leaving her for four days. I had a good feeling when I left her with the staff, they loved her and immediately started petting her and giving her love when I handed them the leash. We watched her every day on the live webcams and we were happy to see her doing well. We watched her walk around the different rooms, the large rooms are connected so the dogs can be alone or in groups and go wherever they like. We saw staff members clean up and hang out with the dogs. The dogs go to bed at a regular time each day and they get plenty of rest. We were afraid she was going to sulk into a corner the whole time she was there but our anxious girl seemed calm and at ease when we were watching her. To our surprise she mingled with the other dogs and made some friends! She is now back home and is showing no signs of sickness or injury at all. The other dogs I saw with her all seemed like good dogs, there was an interview they all had to pass to be accepted into the camp. We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow and will take our dog back here when we need to! read more

Roof, roof! If I was a dog I'd want to live here! The building looks like you could hold a wedding reception. The staff is amazing, friendly (dog & people), knowledgeable, clearly love animals and reassuring. Our dog came home bathed and wiped out. He obviously had an amazing day and pretty sure he can't wait to go back. Prices seem to be pretty reasonable, $20 for a bath! Extra bonus to click on the live camera and be able to see what he's doing! Camp Bow Wow gave our puppy that socialization and energy burning he desperately needed. I have used Camp Bow Wow in Commerce a few times when I am unable to bring my dog to the daycare he typically frequents. It has been fairly disappointing, with today being my last straw. I dropped him off around 8:30/8:45 am and he was in a play room by himself until about 10:10 am. During that time he was consistently pacing and barking. I called up there to see what was going on and was informed the other animals were eating and he was placed there so he could use the bathroom. Even after I called, no one went into the playroom to check on him or give him attention. For close to an hour and a half he was left pacing, barking, and clearly uncomfortable. I would not recommend anyone bring their dog to this location. read more

Don't expect the manager/owner (read only present adult) to do much for you. She's aloof, and confused mostly. Otherwise the place is decent as far as facilities go. The main drawback is that your dog will come home smelling like ancient fermented dinosaur pee, and will need an immediate bath lest you care to wait for 5-7 days before removing your nose plugs. PS - they falsely advertise training, as they don't actually offer any. read more

The team at Camp Bow Wow Commerce takes such good care of our Paris! I am so confident dropping her off for day care or a week of boarding. They genuinely care and love her. When I drop her off she is always greeted by someone calling her name, kisses, chit chat, etc. The enrichment sessions are wonderful. Pais especially likes her play sessions with her favorite Tiffany. They have a very special bond and Paris just explodes with excitement when they are together. They were so sweet with her & treated her like she was their own dog. I loved the "camper"moteif. The facility is clean & the most important thing, my puppy was exhausted! Sleep the whole night without an accident level of exhaustion! She was so happy there, I know this because they have cameras (download the app & you'll have access to the camera feeds) set up so that you can check in on "your little camper". I originally went to Camp Bow Wow with Tucker, my full size golden-doodle to purchase my Oakland County park pass. While I was there, the staff was so friendly and accommodating as I asked about their 1 day packages. They explained (lucky me) that today was a free day and that I could leave Tucker to play after he passed their interview process. He passed, I left him and they showed me how I could watch with my smartphone as he played. They were so kind and caring to him as if they knew that Tucker was like my own child having to leave him with a babysitter. When I returned a few hours later, he was happy and worn out, which was great as it was nearing the evening and saved me a walk. Please read full review. Camp Bow Wow is a dog friendly habitat designed for pet supervision during owner trips and events. I personally enjoyed the facility and the qualities that it showed. First walking into Camp Bow Wow, i noticed the colorful play areas that were crafted for both safety and fun. I was warmly greeted by the staff who instantly treated my dog with the love and safety I push upon her. My dog was walked to her short term home, which was spacious and relaxing. The staff made sure to walk her three times a day, and give her the individual attention that she deserved. They also set up a network of cameras, allowing me to check up on her, and to monitor her safety. Her transition in and out of Camp Bow Wow, was smooth and quick. However I do believe that she wasattacked sometime during her stay. Over all I though that the nutritious food, plus the quality of the staff, proved to be a positive atmosphere for my dog. read more

My dog Ginger was at this facility last Thursday for day care. I dropped her off at around 9:30am and picked her up around 3:30pm. Cathy the manager brought her out to me and when I lifted her into my car I felt her coat/fur and found she was coated with something sticky. It was all over her. Her coat was not like that when I dropped her off! I came back in and asked Cathy what was all over Ginger's fur. I had Cathy feel her fur. Her response was "I don't know she must have gotten into something". Are you kidding me??!! I pay them almost $30 a day to supervise my dog and not let her get into anything!! What did she get in to?? Do I need to be worried that she is going to get sick from it?? Cathy checked with the employees that were supposed to be watching Ginger and was told that Ginger was rolling around in the play yard. Is the play area that dirty that it leaves the fur coated with disgusting sticky stuff? Cathy told me that they could give her a bath, but it would take an hour. I declined since it was already 3:30pm and I had people coming to my house at 4pm which I was already going to be late for due to all the traffic in that area. Quite honestly, I thought the employees were supposed to watch and interact with the dogs while they are there, but apparently not since if any of them had petted Ginger they would have felt the nasty stuff on her. And if they did pet her and didn't think that it would be a good idea to give her a bath so I didn't have to pick her up like that shame on them. Regardless, it is unacceptable that I drop my dog off for daycare and had to bring her home with sticky who knows what all over her fur. I thought they ran a cleaner facility. I sent the owners an email last Friday asking them to address what was on my dog, but they have not had the courtesy or professionalism to respond to my concerns. Will not go there again! read more

I love this place, but most importantly my dog loves this place. As soon as I pull up my dog starts clawing the car door panting and can't wait to go in. That alone makes me feel at ease leaving her for a day or two when I am out of town. My dog is small so she goes to their little campers building. Staff is always very nice. My two dogs have a ton of energy and we love to take them to doggy daycare to allow them to work out some energy and socialize with other dogs while we're at work. We recently moved and began taking them to Camp Bow Wow of Commerce and have had mixed feeling. While they used to come home absolutely exhausted and be noticeably tired for at least a day or two, since going to CBW they both come home with a lot of energy still and one is very anxious. I made a conscious effort to watch the cameras to see what is different about this new place and absolutely furious at what I've been paying for. The dogs were dropped off a little before 8 and sat alone in a room until almost 10am. I was told the other dogs were at "breakfast" and relaxing but since we dropped off right at that time our dogs got to stay out in the empty playroom alone. The remainder of the dogs came out around 10am and were all in one room - literally 20+ dogs in one tiny "playroom" just walking around or sitting down. These dogs are not split by temperament, age, behavior, etc. - just a big room of every dog dropped off for the day. (I will say there were two other dogs in different room alone, not sure why they weren't included in the doggy mosh pit) No room to run or really play and no one interacting with them, just one employee walking around watching. Next, all the dogs went back to their crates for lunch from 11:30 - 1:15 - TWO HOURS AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES! They then came back out to stand around in the tiny room until about 4:30pm when they go back to crates for dinner. If you are dropping off your dogs to get out energy during our 8+ hour work day - your dogs are actually sitting in a crate a majority of the day and really only "playing" (read - walking around a small & cramped room) for 4.5 hours and the rest they are in a crate. I called to speak with the CBW team to see if this was an anomaly, hoping maybe they were short staffed and had to adapt for a day but was informed this was their standard protocol and the dogs need rest. Our old daycare did take a one hour break in the middle of the day and it was needed because they played so hard but this is insane. I would highly recommend seeking other option if you have an energetic dog. read more

The staff is great. The facilities are great (e.g., clean, big enough for large dogs to be comfortable, etc.). The prices are very reasonable. The location is easy to get to. While I was there, an owner came in who drops his dog off every Mon-Fri. That speaks volumes to me about the quality of care being outstanding. read more

Our dog, Goofy has been going to Camp Bow Wow for nearly 4 years, not only for daycare a couple of times each month but also when we're away on vacation. He loves it!! The building is always clean and the staff knows him by name. We love that we can look in on him on the cameras. When we're away and he's at "Sleep Away Camp", as we call it, we know that he is getting the medications he needs and he's enjoying himself and probably doesn't even miss us. I tell everyone, that if their dog loves to play with other dogs, that Camp Bow Wow is the place to go! read more

Very upset with camp bow wow in comerce!! My dog went there the weekend before Thanksgiving! The next weekend he was in the hospital with a severe case of kennel cough! When i called monday morning they acted like they could gove a crap about my dog! Oh and i called last week because he was getting sick and they were complaining about my dog! My thought is stop complaining and clean up the place so other dogs dont get sick! Dont take ur dog there!!!!! read more

I boarded two of my past pet here so when we decided to board our current dogs I felt very confident they would be in good hands while we gone for our wedding. One of our dogs is a rescue that has extreme food aggression. I couldn't stress enough she needed to be fed ALONE, someone didn't get the memo. She ended up biting another dog. Thank god it wasn't bad. I asked the girl that told me that there was a issue why my instructons weren't followed She didn't have an answer. So we paid our bill left with our three dogs got home at 5 pm let them out of our car and I noticed immediately my other dogs hind leg was swollen three times the size that it should be. So I called and asked if anyone knew what happened to the girl check drawn called back and said that someone had noticed his leg was swollen but didn't think to say anything. REALLY?!? At that point I was so mad I thought I was going to meltdown. 3 hours later I notice the dogs leg that was swollen burst in there was a severe infection. So at 9pm we leave and go to the emergency vet. Xrays to make sure there wasn't a foreign object in his leg, wound irrigation, cultures, medication and $900. We are finally on our way home. So I called the next morning and let them know what it happened. I'm so unhappy that no one bothered to notice his injury even after he was bathed and nails were cut. I'm not sure if it was not being educated or just not caring but it was so obvious someone should've said something. Now a week later all three dogs have come down with kennel cough. OMG -I don't know who loves Camp Bow Wow more - my Golden Retriever or me!! I have been bringing her to "camp" since she was a puppy for some active social play - the only way to expend some of her high energy. The site is clean and staff courteous and friendly. Most importantly, they do a great job of supervising the campers at play. You can verify it for yourself by watching your camper via their video cam. Also, they screen campers so you do not have to worry about aggressive dogs - something one often encounters at dog parks. The grooming service is excellent. Prices are reasonable considering the great service. read more

We have been going to Camp Bow Wow since they opened. Our previous dog loved it and our current dog loves going there. The staff is friendly and takes great care of our baby. The trainers also seem to be very knowledgeable. Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. All Camp Bow Wow needs now is a licensed groomer and I will be all set. read more

Our dog has stayed here several times but our last experience was the worst yet. He is not a dog that will eat his food when you put it down, he eats when he wants to eat. Every time our dog stays here he comes back having lost 5-7 lbs in a weeks time and he is only a 55 lb dog. After his last stay he came home having lost 7 lbs in 5 days. His first night home he was vomiting and then the next day he had bloody diarrhea. He spend 2 nights and 2 days at the emergency vet clinic suffering from severe dehydration and pancreatitis. When we called Camp Bow Wow they took zero responsibility and said that their logs showed he drank plenty of water and ate all of his meals. This is frightening and makes me question the integrity of the employees because he rarely eats all of his meals at home let alone when he is at the kennel. And he lost 7 lbs in 5 days?1? Needless to say after the way that Camp Bow Wow handled the situation and our $2500 vet bill we will not be returning to Camp Bow Wow. read more
