Back in 2019 left our two dogs there for 2 weeks my small one came back so thin and we ended up putting her down a few months later because her kidneys were so bad. Our other dog the camp bowow employees ended up taking her to the vet leaving her there she had a huge open wound turns out it had been a injury she got there and it abcessed and then burst open. Didn't see her on camera for days which is why I called and they said oh she's tired and then a couple days later they contacted us about a huge wound so we cut our vacation short and rushed home. I wrote a review and they threatened me with a lawyer if I did not take it down (said exactly what I said here) and they insisted the vet said it was most likely cancer WHICH the vet never said that. I would NEVER recommend this place and whenever I see people with the camp bowow bs on their cars if I get a chance I tell them what happened to my 2 sweet babies. Their magnets make me so angry when I see them. Please if you love your dogs triple check everything before leaving them anywhere read more

T try joes was the first time I've ever boarded our dogs. We had 3 small dogs and one large dog. It was nice to see them on the camera however one of our dogs sat in the corner for 6 days. We never received a call. He came home sick and had lost an extreme amount of weight. All of our other dogs also got sick too. Our vet bill was in addition to our $1200 boarding bill. Just know when you go, plan on them catching something. Our dogs have never had kennel cough or a bacteria like this. I'm sad that our dogs were so traumatized and came home sick. I called to let them know and they just said, "Yeah others have called too, hope your dog feels better." I'm so disappointed. read more

Great place for dogs to hang out. I've used the daycare service for my dog, Frank. He loves it! He's a big dog and gets bored being at home all day. This is a great place for him to romp around and hang out with other dogs. He's nice and tired when I pick him up and ready to head home and hit the couch. lol I've also used the groomer here several times for Addison. She does a pretty good job and is really friendly. You might be surprised by how nice this place is. The outside is immaculate. Lawn always looks fantastic. Bushes always trimmed. Very nice. The inside is as well. Very clean. They really take care of the place. It's the best doggie day care I have seen around here. I believe the daycare is $14 for half a day and $26 for all day. Grooming for Addison is $46. I'm not sure about larger dogs. Great employees. Everybody is really nice and friendly here. I recommend it. read more

We boarded 2 of our doodles here for 10 days in May 2021. We never board our dogs, but we're new to Covington and hadn't established a sitter yet. Both doodles came home with kennel cough and giardia! Giardia is transmitted through feces, so we know that our pups were not in a clean environment. They brought those illnesses home and infected our eldest dog who we had left with our family because he's diabetic and requires injections, which Camp Bow Wow will not administer. They didn't tell us they couldn't administer injections until the day before we left town. The eldest dog stopped eating for 3 days because of the intestinal parasites and we lost him a week after we brought them all home. We spent the next week administering multiple medicines to the doodles to clear the giardia infection from their system. Our vet said she saw multiple dogs with giardia that same week who had spent time at Camp Bow Wow. I will never bring my dogs back to this place. If we hadn't boarded our doodles, our girls wouldn't have gotten sick and we would still have our little buddy. Very bad, do not recommend! read more

Storm really loves this place. He is so exhausted when he comes home and that gives my other puppy 5 months GSP a break until I can get her into Bow Wow. He really enjoys playing and socializing with the other dogs. I highly recommend this place especially if you have puppies. Storm is now 7 months lab mix and full of energy. They have a wonderful staff who just adores all the pups big and small. They are caring and devoted to the pups. read more

I WILL NEVER BRING MY DOG HERE AGAIN. At first I thought this place was awesome. The people were super friendly and they care to get to know you and your dog. My pup had a blast and met dogs similar to her size. BUT after taking my dog a couple times this past Friday and the Saturday before she woke up yesterday with a HORRIBLE cough and wheezing. After calling a few vets I found one that would see me same day. I told the Dr. The symptoms my pup was having and the next thing he asked did I board her recently and once I said yes he asked let me guess camp bow wow? Once I confirmed that he already knew what she had. He had at least 4 dogs come in recently who had the same thing. And let me know they've had issues with the corona virus for months. He said they need to shut down and clean to get rid of it but have yet to do it. This particular strain is scary because there is no vaccine for it. And had I not called this vet on my list I wouldn't have figured out what she had until I spent a few hundred or more dollars on tests and medication or until it was too late. When I called camp bow wow to let them know they seemed to be aware of it. They def apologized and offered to pay for a few of my dogs next stays but didn't mention anything about cleaning to fix the problem. They definitely didn't mention it when we first came and I asked if there was anything I should know. I will NEVER bring my dog here again. She is my family and I love her to much to bring her to a place where she could get sick again because they don't properly clean when they have a continuous problem. read more

We have officially been three times now, and I feel like it's enough to be able to write about my experience. So day one: the interview. So much fun! They are very good at communicating you through the whole process, and for every loving dog parent, they take them from you like the first day of school and say "they'll have a blast! Watch for them on camera!" And if you are anything like my friends and me... you will stalk them on camera all day. I suggest you do the interview on an off day if you work, because the cameras are addicting! Everyone in my family downloaded the app to be able to watch them. She stayed beyond the required three hours because, well, she was genuinely having a blast. I went to pick her up without announcing myself first, and they brought her right out all nice and dry (mine loves the splash pad) and smelling heavenly!!! I have no idea what they use, but it lasts for DAYS and smells amazing. They sent me pictures of her experience, which was above and beyond of them. Tootsie successfully passed her first day and was a Happy Camper, certificate and all. Day two: I referred a friend, so naturally I sent her in for a half day of play so we could stalk both of them at the same time on the cameras. Once again, she had a blast! Day three: we boarded her! The big board! We made our reservation using the app, very easy, BUT, you cannot choose whether you want a standard or a suite. (Obviously, the camera and the app are my thing, so I wanted a suite). I called the moment I got my reservation confirmation email to make sure she was down for a suite. About a week later, we go to drop her off and minor blip: she's assigned to a standard. No big deal! They moved her right over to a suite, so all was resolved. ALSO! Huge deal, she was losing it to go inside and trying to push the swing door open to get in! She got to play all day, take naps in between, and once again, have a blast. They let you bring whatever makes your dog most comfortable, but supplied those little cool dog cot things that are raised? I packed a bed, chew toy, stuffed toy, and our bathrobe (so she could smell a family member). The best part of this all was Sunday which is more so a "down day". You see a little movement in the suites, but at one point, you see the lights out and your baby passed our from the previous days fun. They were beyond accommodating for pickup, so thank you Melissa and Stephanie! Bottom line: awesome. Download the app, watch your dog be happy, maybe when boarding and seeking a suite, put it in an email and then check one more time a day or so before just to confirm. My pup loves it, and who wouldn't love a place that plays soothing dog music during nap time? The dog people get it. Will definitely be sending her here more. My Nola pup loves coming to camp. She is a very high energy puppy so this is the best situation for her to run, interact with other pups and play (usually in the splash pad). She is a regular at camp, has been bathed (even though she isn't a fan of a bath) and has been boarded. Being able to peek in on her is a great feature as well. I see the counselors interacting and giving the pups love. Never have I looked and seen the facility look dirty, they are always on top of it when cleaning up after the pups. My two doodles stayed for a week, then came home sick with some type of stomach bug that triggered four emergency vet visits this week (5/28/21). Their mystery illness (heavy vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy) was then contracted by our smaller elderly dog and now he may not make it. My dogs were fully vaccinated going in to this place and came out sick anyway. Never again. read more

My two standard poodles were groomed by MONI. she cut off both top knots on my dogs and shaved down their ears and my white poodle has razor burns that are bleeding on his face. I will NEVER EVER BRING MY DOGS THERE EVER AGAIN. If you own standard poodles, never bring them there. My dogs have been groomed since puppies and never in my life have I had such unprofessional results. What's worse is that she never came out to talk to me or apologize or ask me if that was what I wanted. My dog has slept for hours and looks very sad. My puppies love camp, i have a rat terrier & a pit mix. I like the spacious cabins they get to stay in when i leave them overnight. I love that they get to play with other dogs during the day. The staff are great, i feel they truly care about my pups wellbeing & pay attention to each of my dogs specific needs. My mom also brings her shih tzu to the groomer & she does a fantasic job groomer her. read more

I will never bring my dog back here. Bow Wow is just all marketing and no actual care for your dog. I made the mistake of not looking around the first time I took my young sheltie but the second time I did. The noise was deafening as all of the dogs are under one roof. I couldn't hear anyone speak. The pens that the dogs stay in when they are not with other dogs are tiny, and filthy! . A few of the dogs I walked by had no water and had either urine or poop somewhere in there. The second time I picked my dog up she had scratches all over her back and just looked miserable. I took her to the vet. She had kennel cough and the scratches were from other dogs. My dog is female and the vet said that she probably got a lot of attention from the male dogs in her group and she couldn't get away from them. Whenever I did view her on their camera she was in a corner and the person that was supposed to be watching the dogs was picking at her nails the whole time! Horrible. My vet said he had many dogs come to him after boarding there who had kennel cough. I will never take my dog there again!! read more

All three of my dogs are absolutely in love with Camp Bow Wow. When we start getting close, they all get excited and I almost can't let them out of the car fast enough once we've arrived. My oldest requires a little bit more attention due to her age and I always feel good leaving her and her "siblings" at Camp knowing they'll be taken care of as if they were the employees' own pets. read more

I love the camper cams and how Maggie is not in a cage the entire time. She is an emotionally fragile rescue dog with separation anxiety and does better in the company of animals and a person. She quickly adjusts when she gets home so I know she is ok there. I did call on Sunday to let them know I would be there right at 10:00 am and they said if I got there at 10:01 the door would be locked. I would have to pick her up at 4:00 pm. I understand the policy is to protect the workers from overtime but I would have appreciated a couple minutes of flexibility. read more

the last time I boarded my dog during Mardi Gras, he came back with a dry hacking cough plus his freshly laundered blanket smelled like it hadn't been washed in months. he was filthy and needed a bath ASAP. he was only there for 2 days. I recently brought my two Labradoodles there for boarding over the weekend. This was the first time that they were ever boarded. Unfortunately they came down with the canine flu. They are very ill plus the cost of the vet bills. Camp Bow Wow said that was why they offered a free day of day care because they knew they had an outbreak. That WAS NOT disclosed to me. There are no signs anywhere! Until they get that place cleaned up, I would not recommend bringing your pet. read more

Absolutely disgusted!! Took skylar a few times and everything seemed to be ok. This time when I checked the cameras it was constant red flags! Employees standing out of camera view, sitting inside while all of the dogs were outside( literally sitting down on the equipment), on my way to pick up my pup I was watching and saw my dog get dragged across the yard by two other dogs and the employee just stood there chit chatting with another employee! I am furious! Then when we warm in to pick her up I began expressing our concerns about the previous events and the employee thought it was appropriate to giggle and make constant excuses! All we wanted to hear was an apology and that it will be taken care of! But no the girl giggled the whole time! My husband walked out furiously and then the employee had the nerve to raise her voice and argue back and forth! Then tells me that it is not the place for my dog! I have no issues with dogs playing rough but for an employee to treat a customer that way is not ok! For her to act like there is no reason to be upset and not take it seriously was ridiculous! Will never go back again! And the fact that I paid in advance infuriates me! Their employee Ashley is the only one worth dealing with along with the older woman who works the front desk. And the worst part is that we had plans on boarding our dog there next week to go on vacation and clearly that is now ruined. read more
