You can park and enter off of Frederick Pike (farmhouse) or off Aullwood Road off of Route 4 (Education Center). Unfortunately, they are not equipped to properly teach children with dyslexia. This resulted in our son being frustrated and thinking he was stupid. Since going to Marburn, his attitude towards school has completely turned around. He no longer dreads going and is excited to learn. We are fortunate that he is able to go there. A previous commenter, Vanessa B., mentioned that "admissions qualifications are as stringent as being accepted into an Ivy League University." I'm not sure what exactly their requirements are, but there's only room for around 300 students. Each individual class has 17 students and two teachers. Just taking that into account, there's going to be a bit of selectivity assuming that there is room available. Before they admit anyone, the child needs to spend a day at the school and sit in the class. If your child is not immediately admitted, please don't give up. I've heard it may take a couple of years to get in. We got lucky because there was an opening when we applied. Columbus is lucky to have Marburn. He struggled in public schools. We met at times monthly with school staff regarding IEP Diectives and goals. The paper looked good but the learning environment could not achieve the goals. We were met in public school with multiple obstacles including unbelievably that public school teachers were not required any special training for learning disabilities. The pain we all went through included student and parent shaming amd other atrocities. Thankfully another parent recommended MARBURN ACADEMY. Right away they took our son to much better learning and social environment. We saw our son blossem and gain self confidence. The teachers are incredible. Well, , serves me right for not doing my research before setting an appointment there. Save yourself time and money and read my review. Please read if you are taking your skill test and maneuverability test. I have 7000 trips with rideshare companies and a clear driving record for 30 years. I failed the driving test. The 2 staff, 1 male and 1 female were pleasant and we chit chatted. I arrived 20 minutes early and made small talk with them. Yet I failed. You HAVE TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT FOR 3 SECONDS. NOT ONE OR TWO OR 2.5. A WHOLE 3 SECONDS. Even if like me, the road is completely clear and there isn't a car to be seen. That's why I failed as an adult. I now have to pay $60 for online courses and another $50 for another test. Thats $110 for a 6 second mistake. Not to mention the addional time this costs me. The elderly, white male instructor said most people fail the first time for the same reason. Yet he SAID NOTHING before the test and failed to warn me. I had told him I had 7000 trips with Uber, and I showed up driving a new, unblemished, dent free car. I clearly know how to drive. So this place is a racket. It's a way to make more money for this school. I don't appreciate this and I doubt you will either. The teenager in the lobby was on his 3rd attempt. I'm sorry, but that's absurd. I received my assessment in an email and found he dinged me for other reasons like turning too slow/fast (didnt happen) And failing to check mirror before a lane change (didnt happen). The email is purposefully difficult to read and understand and I have an English degree. So be sure to ask them in person to explain each place you lost points and what to do differently next time. I went in thinking I would be treated fairly. I left feeling like I'd been Had.
