Visited with the travel company, Wilderness Inquiry, in Feb 2024. This is a gorgeous lodge with comfortable beds, indoor bathroom and showers, as well as heated outdoor bathrooms. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the chefs prepare outstanding meals. There are lots of winter activities to choose from (I was there only in winter) including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snow hiking, dog sledding and visiting the sled dogs, and star gazing. Wow. Can't believe there are no reviews for Camp Menogyn (celebrating 100 years in 2022! Congrats!) What an amazing experience for our kiddos. The planning and investment it took to make this experience happen was so worth it. The kids didn't know what to expect. The first thing they do is remove smart phones. Brilliant! Amazing counselors were chosen and the kids couldn't stop talking about how many different things they did. While it was hot and buggy at times, the fun experiences were all we heard about. If you are thinking about an overnight experience for your kids or grandkids, be sure to consider the YMCA of the North's programs. Camp Menogyn is the crown jewel. read more
