The sign up and communication was quick and easy. My kids had their amazing week on this farm. In just a week, from no experiences, they learned how to care for the horses, perform some basic equestrian vaulting and gained some riding skills. The instructor and assistants were very friendly and very experienced with kids. My kids had an awesome time. This experience is definitely the highlight of the summer vacation. So glad we found this farm.

I had a very disappointing and unsafe experience with this horse-riding trainer. During one of the…read morelessons, the trainer scolded the horse harshly, causing it to get startled and resulting in me falling off(he was holding the rein not me). I was injured and had to spend two days in bed, followed by difficulty walking. This was extremely upsetting and could have been avoided with better handling of the situation. Additionally, the trainer frequently canceled lessons at the last minute, which disrupted my schedule. When I decided to cancel the remaining lessons and requested a refund for the unused sessions, I was told that the package was non-refundable, which means I have to be responsible for my loss because of his unqualified service. Don't be fooled by how kind and friendly the trainer seems at the beginning. Once you've paid, he stop putting effort.

I had bought a horse from an auction, it wasn't until I brought him home that I found out he had…read morebeen drugged and was not a beginner horse like he had been portrayed to be. I discovered that he had been mistreated and had poor experiences in being ridden. When Jenny began to work with him, he slowly started to open up to us. His trust was brought back after being worked with in groundwork and liberty. He accepted Jenny to sit and ride on him bareback or in a saddle, and without a bit after months of not being ridden. His personality has become friendly and calm, through our gentle and slow journey. Overall I would like to say that Jenny is talented, patient, and respects both the horses and their owners. She is open-minded, and is always trying to learn more and gain more experiences through clinics and research. She works with every horse differently to line up with their needs and strengths/weaknesses.

She's always so generous like this. The kids had fun, however, the farm does not abide by safety rules. My son and my friend's daughter climbed on their log fence to watch the horses and got shocked by their ELECTRIC FENCE, meant to keep large horses in. The electric wire was a thin braid of wire somewhat hidden behind the log fence. I read on the Internet that by law, you are supposed to post warning signs every 50 yards, however, there was no such signage. Also, the main wire had been pulled from a mobile home across a grassy picnicking area and plugged in to the unit. It seems like reckless negligence on the owners' part. Please keep your toddlers safe and don't let your guard down because of its idyllic setting, as I did. I don't know anything about the American countryside and what types of stuff they use. Electric fences never even crossed my mind. Needless to say, my son was traumatized and in pain. I've never seen him cry like he did and look at me with such an expression of helplessness as I looked him helplessly back. As a mother, my heart wrenched. I wish I had known of such things as electric fences or at least been provided a verbal notice by the farm. I am 38 weeks pregnant and couldn't get to my son in time as I heard him being zapped and crying. It happened yesterday and I've been unable to sleep or rest since it happened. Please be safe if you do go there and take care of your kiddos.

After reading those, we weren't sure what…read moreto expect but throughout the visit, my friend and I kept commenting to each other "what the heck is up with those reviews? This is awesome." Our guide, Kathy, was so informative and she was great with our kids (age 3). They got to feed goats, hold bunnies and pet a super soft chinchilla. Brushing the miniature horse's mane was so fun for them also and they enjoyed walking through the mud to go visit the mini cow. After showing up half an hour late due to traffic and horribly bad weather, we expected our tour to be cut short or possibly even cancelled but Kathy spent over an hour with us and we never felt rushed. My friend was asking about horseback riding lessons and Kathy gave her lots of information about RA, the owner/instructor, but was never pushy about it. My friend's daughter was recently in a bad accident and is on very restrictive instructions from her doctor for a few more weeks. She can't do "normal" kid activities for risk of further injury. This was a wonderful, low-risk and fun experience for her and no visit to a farm would be complete without a face plant in the mud so my son filled that requirement for us. It was a lovely time and we felt so spoiled having a private visit with all the animals.

I came with just two other guys and there were groups of all sizes to parties that had enough people for a full raft to both guys and girls who came on their own and joined in on a raft like ours who didn't have a party that would fill a full raft. If you're signing up for the morning session dress appropriately. I went rafting before but it must have been in the middle of the day because at that time I was hot in my gear, this time I was super cold. The trip was a blast. The guides are awesome. One raft lost people to the drops but we helped rescue everyone. I think it's totally worth your time and money. Save up for the experience, it certainly is worth it. If you are going to do only 1 or so trips, do the class 5.
