So many choices and the staff are very welcoming and helpful with menu recommendations. We had two entrees and two pizzas to share with four people and that was plenty. The menu has changed since some fellow Yelpers have been so I will upload new pictures. The drinks menu was fantastic. Plenty of wines and some great looking cocktails. I was expecting something special, but all three pizzas we ordered were below generic Italian cafe standard. Two of them came on square bases which looked pre-cooked and were more like Turkish bread than pizza bases. The third was on super thin base and was quite oily with low quality ingredients. I will give the place another try in the future though as it may have just been our choices or a bad night. The atmosphere and decor are great so hopefully it will be a better experience next time.

A decor of mismatched plates, old lino covered tables and mix and match chairs and tables in a church feeling type venue somehow works perfectly for this place. The only thing missing from the decor? A piano accordion playing Italian in the corner. This place serves up wood oven cooked everything. From home made sausage (literally a pig is brought in every week and made into the good stuff for the week), simply seasoned ribs and of course pizza. The food is made Calabrese style, in light of the owner Peter's heritage (also owner of Zucca at the Bay). It is for that reason everything here feels like it has been made with passion, romance, amoré and a special kind of moorish Italian spice. Even more impressive is the gluten free pizza option here. No more feeling like you're eating cardboard, nor feeling bloated and heavy after a meal. Our gluten eating friends were not savvy enough to pick the difference! The wine list is do die for and so is the dreamy "Wine Guy" somliers who come to your table and ask you in a French (apparently the two countries are friends now) accent what they can get you to drink. The guys are most pleasant and were very appreciative when we asked if the pizza could be served whole, no wedges. I think they were amazed. I will return!
