Escargot: This type of snail is a different type than I thought; I suppose it's the authentic version in France. It was cooked in a garlic butter sauce so it was super simple. Was there anything wowing about it? Not particularly. It was good but nothing screamed on either the super good nor bad spectrum. The gizmo they used to handle the snail was more interesting. Foi gras: It was such a chunky portion. It was thick and pretty hard to spread. And as such, the thing that could have made it better was if it was at room temperature. It was just a tad too cold and wouldn't spread too well on the toast. It was also really hard to really enjoy its full flavors. Also, the toast was more like it was on its way to being a crouton. The side of sauteed onions was also a very interesting accompaniment. French onion soup gratinated: This was the most flavorful thing in the world. We learned later that with the words "gratinated," it makes it a more authentic version with the cheese and bread atop of the soup versus just having onion soup. The Cantal cheese and how it crisped and infused with the bread was amazing. And the broth was also stupid crazy with flavor. The hubs was just wowed away when he sampled this. Beef tartare: There was a generous portion of the beef tartare. It was fresh in a way. It sort of looked like a pile of raw beef which technically it was. I enjoyed it, but the hubs really enjoyed this pick. The French fries and salad were so so sides. An interesting thing to serve alongside beer tartare IMO. I guess it's the French way! The food overall was good. Service was great. There was a good variety of food choices. There were plenty of lunch options to choose from that's a pretty good deal.

We didn't want to tip but since it's Europe, the tip is included. They messed up my order that I said in French. They rushed us with our meal. Super sweet servers but it was like they were trying to close up at 9:00 when our reservation was at 8:00. Bummer.

This is a unique dining experience for breakfast as it was a 2 course breakfast meal with orange juice. The first course was an omelet, potatoes, and salad, and the second course was a large fluffy pancake and side of mixed fruit. Everything was great! I also got an iced coffee and mimosa also which were very good. The staff is very friendly and laid back. This place is very charming and a cool vibe. I would definitely return and I highly recommend Eggs and Co!

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.

No! Us vegans want something to EAT, by jove. Thank God for Grounded. The two items we ordered were both SO good. We ordered some sort of toast that has almond butter, hazelnut butter, jam, and coconut flakes. It had the perfect amount of sweetness to satisfy a slight morning sweet tooth. The other item we ordered was the bowl of the month (or maybe it's the bowl of the week?) It, too, was wonderful, and so filling! Grounded is really cute and cozy inside, but I will say that it was HOT in this small space. Also, there isn't much seating in here. Maybe enough for 12-15 people. Still, the food here is incredible and the man working at the counter was so kind. Definitely stop in here if you can!

On that fateful day I immediately knew that I would return someday...yes, I put that out in the universe, and thankfully the universe listened! Living in California and having an obsession with all things coffee and brunch is easy with so many options available (gotta love that California lifestyle!), but sometimes it's a challenge to satisfy these cravings when traveling in other countries. Well thank goodness Holybelly exists in one of my all-time favorite cities, Paris, and it has become one of my go-to spots when I get to travel here. This most recent visit, I had my usual Eggs with Sides (usually the sautéed mushrooms and green salad). My boyfriend had the Eggs with hash browns and beans so we could try a little bit of everything. We were hungrier than usual because we literally had just arrived in Paris from San Francisco, so despite our exhaustion from 15 hours of flights and layovers, we had our hearts set on making this our 1st stop! No time to waste! Food was amazing as usual, hit the spot perfectly, and our Flat Whites were rich and creamy. The only negative thing is that they don't have milk alternatives like almond milk or soy milk, but when in Europe, we don't get too picky because we know their dairy is much better quality anyway. It was wonderful to get to meet the owners Sarah and Nico this time as well, and they were incredibly welcoming and friendly when I decided to go up to them and introduce myself. You guys have a lifelong fan here in California, and I can't wait to return to Paris to checkout Holybelly 2 when it opens!!

Sometimes you just want to get your food, chow down, pay and bounce as quickly as possible. Maybe it's because you've spent the day walking around. Or you're getting home super late from work. The last thing you want is an hour plus long meal experience, but you also don't want fast food. The food is fine here, if a bit random. There's a big ham leg in the middle, some simple sushi, fried items, salads, cheeses. I like the ice cream and fruit selection they have. They also have a grill in the back where they will cook up stuff fresh for you. Go for the mushrooms and steak. However, it's not really clear when your food is ready or if someone will bring it to you. Other than that though, the service is generally good. The staff here seem to be really interested in people's places of origin...they were surprised I was Filipino American and asked me to teach them some Tagalog words. If you're in Paris on vacation, this is far from a destination spot. But if you're just tired as hell, it's a welcome sight.
