Very good coffee, friendly stuff and exceptionally good bread with tasty soups! Personally, I found it to be a hidden gem

Well it is called a 'Literary Cafe.' The food menu is rather posh with very clean feel to it. Yes you can get an American Breakfast, but it is just a stack of four pancakes with syrup - no bacon. Not sure how I feel about that. Actual yes I do. "I want me some bacon!" Sandwiches seem to be marketed as the A-list eat, but something else caught my eye. How about pancakes with baked apples, maple syrup, cream cheese and pecans. Oh yeah! I also purchased a house smoothie that tasted good, but once my pancakes arrived that bad boy had my undivided attention. As that first bite hit my palate my reaction was one of an overload of sweetness. Within seconds my tastebuds rose to the challenge and declared "Leon we can handle this!" Boy did they handle it well. I loved my lunch. It was priced at £5.95 so I'll let you decide if you think it's expensive. Rustique Literary Cafe is one of those places to get away from the hustle and bustle. The vibe is relaxed, the food is good, the clientèle remarkably middle-class and it has that all important free wifi.

If music be the food of love... Eat bread! Or some such thing!…read more I just chances upon this place while waiting for my driving lesson and it was love at first sight! If you are one of those people that chooses not to eat bread or cake then this place isn't for you AND you probably aren't for me. Walking in the staff are so lovely and welcoming and make suggestions of bread based on your preferences also giving little tasters so you can try before you buy. I got a 30% rye and it's delicious. I actually enjoyed it so much I had it au natural with a mug of tea when I got home. It's just packed with flavour and so good. With everything freshly baked from scratch on site you really get the best of flavour from the freshness. I also got a slice of banana cake which went down with ease. Will be my regular pre lesson haunt from now on! See you there?

We had their Triple cheese toastie that smelled delicious as it was toasting, tasted even better. My kids proclaimed it better than the cheese toastie in Borough Market! I think it had leeks or spring onions inside. Had the Cardamom roll too which was divine. Grabbed a large Sourdough Loaf for the next day's breakfast! So good! Thick & crusty outside and soft & tart inside. Supermarket bread can't compare. Well worth £4!

Was in Camden town and wanted tea-- found this place in the basement of the Stables Market (when…read moreyou walk down the stairs past cereal killer cafe, turn left and do a u turn, look for "oi oi the shop" and keep walking, it'll be at the end). Their afternoon tea was for two people, and as just one person, the server recommended the cream tea and adding in a savory. I chose the pate (because I love pate!) over the sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised that the server created a mini stack for me. The tea was quite flavorful but the scones were a bit lacking. Of the 4 tea places I went to this week, these scones were the driest. Even covering them in jam and cream wasn't enough--I wanted to dunk them in tea. The pate was delicious though, came with lots of toast, as well as fresh sliced cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. I also loved the fresh fruit (strawberries and cherries), and lovely marshmallows. Venue was also pretty cool--lots of visitors to people watch. Would recommend location, but skip the scones!

The scones and clotted cream were beyond amazing, and the sandwiches were great too! Only con is that this place is hard to find, but that's not their fault. After wandering around for like 30 minutes we finally found it. Go inside the market, go down the flight of stairs past the cereal shop and into the basement. Look around past all the clothes and bags for a bookstore, and past the books you will find the tea shop!
