They do have sororities and fraternities and I think house about 1100 or so students now. I love that they expanded, but wish they had added the equestrian team when I was there instead of 12 years later. It has a great history and is located close to downtown which makes it easy to walk places.

The facility is quite and well laid out. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. I feel as if the students were eager to learn and attentive as were the professors. (That I know of) I have been fortunate enough to attend 2 KET fundraisers here, (Fabby Abbey Balls) and I must say that it was the perfect backdrop location to fulfill the atmosphere and add to the overall feel that heralds a time by gone. The staff were always accommodating and willing to play along with the themes and converse with the guests. There is also adequate parking tucked behind the side of the building. I would highly recommend a visit if you are able to procure one!

Plus the building, a castle looking building, is a great location to enjoy the exhibits and the old architecture of the house. It's beautiful and neat inside and outside. I enjoy the variety of exhibits they bring in and how they tend to showcase local artists. I believe there is artist space upstairs that I assume can be rented but I'm not sure of that. Most recently I brought my boys ages 7&8 for leaf printing. They had a lot of fun making the prints and coloring stamps. They had a great time. After we wandered over to the small park to the side of the house and they played on the jungle gym equipment. Further up the hill on the same grounds is the Castlewood pool and a splash pad for those hot days. Definitely worth checking out.

Only a short walk from the main parking garage, the Visitor Center was nicely marked with directional signs. We were scheduled for a tour so people were there to greet us, share parking validation cards and offer complimentary water bottles. The seating are for the tours was comfortable. The room is smaller so no bad seats to see the presentation on the big screen or hear the speaker. The Visitor Center is part of a larger student center that houses the bookstore, campus dining, fitness center, study areas and much more. We appreciate the staff and student workers that made our visit and campus tour informative.

Plus, it is the priest's job to help people become great Christians, and we have that at Mary Queen. We are so blessed that they touch people's hearts during each mass. The week's highlight is disconnecting from the world and spending time in front of the Blessed Sacrament. That's right, leave everything at the door. Pope John Paul II once said, "Our communal worship at mass must go together with our personal worship of Jesus in Eucharistic adoration in order that our love may be complete." And he was so right.

I've never felt more unwelcome in a Catholic church in 50 years. I was seated alone, far more than six feet from anyone other than the people behind me. During the announcements, the priest promoted the parishes fall festival. He says that many people have joined the church because of the welcome reception they've received at the festival. It must be a lot more welcoming than that of Mass.
