I recently traveled to Sportsman's Warehouse in Altoona after learning from their website that they had the rod holder I wanted in the size I needed. The website was very clear that this size of this item was in stock, could be ordered online and picked up today ( see attached screenshots). I decided to just drive up and pick them up rather than ordering ahead. When I got to the store I was informed sorry we are out of them. In fact it wasn't just this size they were out of. They only had one of four available sizes in stock. This despite all sizes being listed in stock, available today for pickup in the store. I did get an apology from the salesperson, but that doesn't compensate me for wasting half a day and $20 in gas to get there and back. Don't believe anything you see on their website. They probably haven't got it. This is most disappointing as I really enjoyed shopping there in the past. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere in the future.

He was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. After cancelling my order and issuing a full refund, I went back on their site and ordered the same revolver again. This one came in poor condition as well. Shane, again, spent a ton of time with me, and ultimately I elected for a refund. Smith and Wesson gets a 0/5 stars. Sportsman's Altoona should get 10/5 for how helpful they were. Couldn't have been an easier process with a better staff. I would absolutely go through them again.

It's great that this indoor gun range has reopened under new management. They have a nice 6 station…read moreindoor range that can handle most rifle and pistol calibers. It's bright and clean and the prices for shooting are reasonable. Their website indicates $15/month which is less than other ranges in large cities charge for a single session. In addition they offer a Monday evening Bullseye league for only $5. This brings a lot of locals into the shop to shoot and talk and shop. It's nice to be able to meet other shooters, look at their equipment, and exchange info and ideas. It just gives the range an atmosphere that is more than a store. It's a place to go, hangout, and have some fun with others. I hope they keep up these leagues all year and maybe even expand them a little. It's a great way to get people into the shop. The range also offers training and safety classes that range from introductory to advanced which include live fire training. It's nice to have a place where even in winter, you can go for training without having to stand out in the cold or rain. In addition to the range they are a gun store and carry a full line of rifles, pistols, ammo, and other accessories. Their prices seem competitive with others on the area and the salespeople seem eager to help you find or figure out what you are looking for. All in all it's great to have a local indoor range again with new management who work hard to satisfy the customers and promote the shooting sports.
