The stores sell accessories, clothing, footwear, electronics, furniture, craft supplies, home decor, home-improvement products, pet supplies, video games, chocolates, etcetera. The stores are definitely not upscale (e.g., Best Buy, Cabela's, JCPenney, Kohl's, Menards, Old Navy, Target, and Walmart), but they sell what local people need. The restaurants serve cuisines such as burgers, fried chicken, pizzas, Mexican foods, Japanese foods, steaks, ice creams, etcetera. Most restaurants are chains (e.g., Bob Evans, Eat 'n Park, Fusion Steakhouse, Jimmy John's, Primanti Bros., and Texas Roadhouse), and all have a casual atmosphere. Service businesses provide healthcare, nail and hair styling, cell-phone plans, banking, etcetera. Entertainment includes a movie theater, simulated golf, and a sports complex. Over the past several years, I have visited this shopping center multiple times. It is conveniently located for people who live near Wheeling city, Eastern Ohio, or Southwestern Pennsylvania and for people who are traveling through the area.

This place is fantastic with a lovely collection of high-quality handmade pottery which are made by artists in Wheeling. First, the studio and shop is only a 2 minute drive north of the main downtown area with nearby street parking available. Second, you'll see their inventory displayed as you enter the store and can ask about the different glazed colors on the pottery. Third, it's a little pricey but I think the high-quality of products made by local artisans is worth it. Fourth, you'll be supporting the local community with your purchase! Overall, it's worth a visit here in you're in town for a lunch stop during regular business hours on weekdays. I found Wheeling, WV to be full of historical gems (walk on the Suspension Bridge if you can and stop by the Heritage Port Park). Don't be fooled by first impressions - yes, it's easy to see that many dilapidated buildings need TLC. But there's also a positive sense of community in Wheeling.

I absolutely love this place and can't wait to go with my sister when she eventually gets married.

Centre Market has the famous Coleman's Fish Market, plus a second location of Tito's Sloppy Doggs (called Tito's in the Market House), a cheese shop and Michael's Beef House, home of the original roast beef sandwich. There's a building that's not physically connected but still part of Centre Market, and it houses a coffee shop, a hand-pie bakery, an ice cream shop and an art gallery. This part of Centre Market also has comfy couches and games to play, so if you're looking for an area to hang out and stay a while, this part of Centre Market is your spot. I love a good food hall, and Centre Market is a good place to visit if you're looking to find something to eat but don't know what you want. There's something for everyone here, and it's all local, which is great.

On a Thursday afternoon the market area was mostly empty and desolate, but the vendors who were operating were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Makes me sad that Wheeling used to be THE city in which to see and be seen. We bought a few sweets and sausages from local vendors and I am sure I could have spent WAY more money here. The building reminds me of the marketplace in Charleston SC on a much smaller scale. I hope these vendors can make it and I wish them a major boost of life and vitality. The store knows it has gems, and the prices reflect that. The store is very well curated, though, and not just loaded full of junky stuff. You will definitely find something at Outdated Threads if you're a stylish cat who likes copping vintage sports shirts, Cosby pullovers, acid washed denim, ironic hats and other slick stuff. For the most part, the store sells menswear, but if you're a discerning lady, you will find stuff here, too. You'll also find lots of accessories, jackets, posters and video games to play. They have a vintage Pac-Man console in the back! One of my children did not want to leave this store because he was having so much fun playing Pac-Man for free.
