You go up to the lady at the counter and request for it. She will bring it to the counter. For a shop like this, I was expecting that a request for the item to be wrapped up in a box would be normal. But no, they don't have boxes for some of their item. The lady did offer to go look for a suitable one in their store room but failed to find one that fits the item I purchased. I was also in a hurry so I said don't worry about the packing. Let's move on to paying for the item. They have a 10% of coupon for your next purchase if you purchase more than $50 for the month of September. She asked if I wanted to use it this time or next. Since I am here for short visit, I decided I would use it then. It took her forever to calculate how much my 10% cost. Seriously?? After a few minutes, I told her to forget about the discount. I just want to pay and leave. It took another 5 minutes for that whole transaction to be completed. I do appreciate their friendliness and the varieties of trinkets they carry. The Studio Cockatoo (a Brisbane designer) works in the window drew me in and a treasure trove of Australian designers like Emily Green, Kip & Co, Third Draw Down and Aesop (just to name a few) greeted me inside. No souvenir shops here, just you everyday standard mall with a grocery store. The sitting areas are more comfortable and frequent than in the States. They allow many opportunities to people watch.
