EPIC VIEW! That's what you'll think when you first come here trust me. The Edge as its called, certainly does have the edge as premium viewing real estate. The restaurant is set against the awesome back drop of the Glasshouse Mountains. We were really hoping the food lived up to the viewing spectacle and I'm delighted to say it did. I tried the beetroot risotto and my dining partner the roasted vegetable salad. Both choices (and trust me I tried both) were delish. The food is a little pricey but overall worth it. And let's face it, Montville is tourist town so you're always going to pay a premium. We loved our experience here. My only disappointment as I was driving, was not being able to sample a lovely white wine with my meal. This would have topped everything off perfectly. If you're staying in Montville or just passing through be sure to come here and check this place out. read more

Mixed bag for this one. Visited a year ago and had a beautiful barrumundi lunch. Definitely wanted to visit again. However, visited for lunch this time (admittedly it had just turned 2:00pm) only to be told, "Lunch was finished" and they were now only serving tea and coffee. Big disappointment! After looking around for a place to eat with good atmosphere/view we decided to give this spot a try. Steak sandwich and beer battered snapper. Steak was pretty good with a very small accompaniment. Snapper was tough and very over cooked. Chios were pretty much ice cold like they have been cooked about a half hour prior to serving an the salad was crisp but certainly not fresh. Staff were friendly but always rushing and I was looking forward to proving feedback but none of the 3 staff who took the plates or my money had the time to ask 'how was you meal'? Amazing view on a beautiful day. My advice is this would be a cood place for a coffee or perhaps you could go next door an get a better dessert menu. read more
