They won me over by giving me deep fried dough, but then the room it self was actually quite nice as well. I had an upgraded room with a balcony which was great for viewing the last of the fireworks when I made it back to the hotel. It was a great room, with friendly staff at an affordable price. An air conditioning might have been welcome but I can imagine that so high up north they are not really used to the heatwave we were having. However, it's a great place to stay if you are visiting a friend in Friesland.
