The wien-lobAU National Park House, which is located at the end of the Dechantweg, is quite unique…read moreand special if you are a nature lover like I am. The house itself is a great meeting point, has a huge playground, many exhibits, a theater, restrooms, and a small café. The Ranger staff is always helpful and has a very extensive background on all animals, maps, camps, and answers to various questions. This park has multiple small lakes and of course the Donau itself and its many arms, small streams, ponds, and large forested areas. I have seen many types of different animals from large deer and otters to the smallest of creatures like squirrels and woodpeckers. I hope you enjoy the National Park House as much as I have. One tip: I would ask the park Ranger for a park map as its easier to find your way around at all times and not look for the staged map.
