Established in 1955.

Willkommen auf der Roten Schleuse! Der Campingplatz Rote Schleuse wurde bereits 1955 in einem Waldgebiet vor den Toren Lüneburgs eröffnet. Im romantischen Ilmenautal gelegen, umfasst das Gelände eine große Wiese, die Caravan- und Wohnmobilegästen vor-behalten ist, sowie ein Areal mit lichtem Mischwald für Zeltgäste. Die Lage und die familiäre Atmosphäre des Platzes trugen dazu bei, dass sich der Platz zu einem echten Geheimtipp entwickelte. Frei nach dem Motto arbeiten, wo andere Urlaub machen, verwirklichten wir 1997 unseren großen Traum und übernahmen die Rote Schleuse. Seitdem haben wir viel Neues geschaffen. Das historische Haupthaus bekam einen Wintergarten, ein biologischer Badeteich wurde angelegt, und wir haben ein neues Sanitärgebäude errichtet. Doch bei allem Neuen ist geblieben, was uns so wichtig ist: die familiäre Atmosphäre, die Überschaubarkeit und die schöne Lage. Wir freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch Familie Muckenhirn

The camp site was quiet but we still met some very nice people. We especially appreciated meeting a local who recommended a day trip to Lüneburg (a VERY good idea! We spent a few lovely hours in this little town. ) We appreciated having enough space for an evening walk and a morning yoga session in the open air. Great facilities with hot showers. The yelp directions were easy to follow. Super family friendly atmosphere. The biergarten/ kaffe looked charming but we didn't use it. We'd go back to Camping Land.

Either a good walk from the Hbf or bus 212 to the Auto Museum stop and then onto a bridge across…read morethe river. The folks here were very helpful and beware they do not speak any English. The campsite is very peaceful next to the lake and during the two nites which I stayed, it was quiet in terms of other campers, many in fact seemed to be long term stayers. If you do not want to tent camp, they offer these tube cabins. The bathrooms were very clean and the hot water was very hot. Only cash is accepted, and 1/2 euro is needed for the showers, wifi is offered by Wifi Wolfsburg.

Hallo liebe Yelp Gemeinde :) dies ist mein zweiter Beitrag und ich komme so langsam ins "Bewertungsfieber" :) wir sind hier an der Roten Schleuse, einem tollen Campingplatz an der Ilmenau und lieben es hier! Sehr gepflegt, nette Betreiber und toller Service! Wir waren gestern auch im Restaurant Platzhirsch, hier auf dem Platz und wir sind absolut begeistert!!! Mein Mann hat ein Jägerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln gegessen (typisch Mann) und ich eine Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten - traumhaft kann ich nur sagen... alles hat gestimmt! Habe selten so eine leckere Pizza gegessen und mein Mann war ebenso begeistert! Auch die Preise hier sind der Hammer, für das Camping sowie die Gastronomie! Ich kann euch das hier nur empfehlen, macht einen Abstecher nach Lüneburg und kommt auf den Campingplatz, ihr werdet es nicht bereuen :-) read more

Sind das fünfte Mal hier an der Roten Schleuse. Top gepflegter Platz mit tollem Restaurant und Pizzeria ! Sehr nette Inhaber und Mitarbeiter , kann diese Örtlichkeit jedem anderen potenziellen Gast (egal ob als Tourist oder fürs Restaurant) unbedingt weiterempfehlen! Hier hat sich einiges getan in den letzen Jahren , ständig wird hier etwas "neues" getan , alles super positiv !!! read more
