Thanks, fellow Yelpers, for pointing me towards Campora! We're new to propane, and weren't sure what to look for (and avoid) in a provider. Worse, we expected access to the propane left in the tank by the Seller, but nope. JS had locked it off and left a contract wedged under the front door. Which was a fun discovery when we arrived at our new home at 10 p.m. on a November night After a chilly first night in our new home I called Campora first thing Monday morning. Andrea was great. I waited until she'd quoted me their rates and new customer discount before confessing we were desperate for propane. She had Kyle bring me a temporary tank that afternoon. Which was such a relief. Fast forward one week. By which time we propane-newbies had worked through our temporary tank one day before our full-size tank was scheduled to arrive. Pam pulled strings and got yet another temporary tank dropped off that evening, so we had heat over night. When the the full-size tank arrived, the 2-man crew were friendly and efficient. And they even moved the old JS tank well down our driveway so it was out of sight. I've only been with Campora a month. But I've received quick and friendly service during all three tech visits, and all my calls to the office. They were a great introduction to propane life. read more

Can't tell you what a great experience we had. Recently changed from brand js. And it is like night and day. The office staff (Pam and Cindy) were incredibly helpful. They scheduled next day arrival of our new tank. Joe was the individual whom installed the new unit and we couldn't be happier. The work was done quickly, correctly and with care. Can't say enough good or make a better recommendation than Campora. 2 of our neighbors had similar crappy service with brand js and will be switching service. read more

Campora has been reliable in my area for tank refills. Our delivery guy, Tim, has been great. He checks the tanks monthly and makes sure our deliveries are scheduled on a regular basis. Campora has changed their billing process. Paying on-line is a convenience, but I can't make contact with anyone at our local office to correct an error on our budget plan payment. They now have an answering service, which I'm sure relays the messages, but no one calls back. Their office door is always locked so I can't stop in and talk to anyone either. if this is the direction their customer service is headed I will be switching propane dealers. read more

I've been a customer for years but after today no more. This morning the house was very cold and I went and checked my tank and we were pretty much out of propane. We get our heat from propane so we called asking for a fill. We were told they don't fill in Sunday's. Well that's fine but you didn't check or fill my tank since April. Mind you we are on a route not will call. So we have snow on the ground and it's supposed to snow tonight but they won't fill a tank they were supposed to be watching and filling. So Monday I'll be calling to have a new company's tank placed and hopefully they care about their customers a little better. read more

As a new Campora customer and a first time propane user, I really appreciate the friendly service Campora provides. I had a leak test yesterday and unfortunately there was a leak. Our service rep, Kyle, was able to identify the issue and didn't leave until the issue was fixed. I just switched over to Campora from Kamps. I was looking for a way to reduce my monthly propane bill and apparently I have found it! Campora did an analysis of my existing service and determined that they could save me a significant amount of money over my existing provider. Instead of having a metered account I now have a bulk purchase and billing account. I will be able to save serious bank by buying low and using high - so-to-speak. Drew and Andrea were both extremely helpful and made the process painless and so far, seamless. I appreciate their friendly approach to doing business and efficiency. Well done folks. read more

Recently my dad ran out of propane and the soonest his previous provider could service him was 4 days out. This is not OK. My dad is older and this is far to long to keep him waiting without hot water. I called Durnall & Campora Propane and they had someone out to my dads home within hours to at least keep him going until they could fill his tank which will be done by Friday. Once they arrived Bill called and let me know. This is what I call customer service. I called 2 other places before I called Campora and the soonest they could get out was Friday. Just an FYI if you just had the tank filled, and it read at 35%, after fill it reads at 75% and you paid your bill in full, and you move 10 days later, you will not get any return for the propane you have paid for but did never use, it is part of there policies. So you pay for something but get zero if lifes circumtances beyond your control cause you to move. Thought you should know. read more

I just want to pass along my appreciation for the exceptional customer service provided by Campora Propane and specifically by Luke and his supervisor Drew. On the day of the appointment Luke arrived promptly at our residence, introduced himself, and took the time to explain what he would be doing. Part of the installation involved the conversion of our new gas dryer to LP. As such, Luke called and consulted with Drew, who arrived a few minutes later. The conversion was particularly difficult, as it required a complete dis-assembly of the dryer to access the burner. In the middle of this process Drew discovered that there were parts missing from the LP conversion kit. He patiently explained to me what was wrong and what would be required to complete the conversion. He offered to return later in the day to complete the conversion if I was able to locate a conversion kit with all of the necessary parts. Fortunately I did, and Drew returned later that day to complete the conversion, and also the installation, of the dryer. Luke also went above and beyond the call of duty. I had asked to have a shut-off valve installed next to our dwelling. Luke surveyed the situation and determined that it would not be a problem, but he did not have all of the necessary parts with him. He completed all of the other inspection work, and assisted Drew, and then returned later, beyond normal working hours, to complete the installation. Both Luke and Drew were polite, courteous, and simply a pleasure to be around. They both went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the job was successfully completed. As a telecom service manager for the City of San Francisco, I can say that they both exemplify the true spirit of customer service. Good job Campora! read more

The day the tanks were installed Drew and Luke arrived on time and stayed until the end of the day when the process was complete. This is by far the most amazing propane company ive ever came across. Ive Deli with several in my life time from the East cost to the West and I was blown away by how nice and curtious I was treated as a customer. I had my 10 year old with me abd while I was filling out paper work the other lady that was not handling myself started asking my daughter questions and shown her the fish they had and all their names. It was very nice. I showed up about 10 min before closing and didnt feel rushex or like I,was a burden from being there after a long work day. They worked with me and my situation and I'm very pleased that this company will be my propane provider. Everyone needs to drop there propane,company and pay these gals a visit. read more

Make sure you use all your dang propane if you decide to move to a place without propane because there is no reimbursement for propane not used. so if you spent over $600 and did not use half of it you will not get anything back for what you spent. BUYERS BEWARE, find somewhere else to get propane. read more

FOLLOW UP: I previously reviewed Campora and gave it 2 stars because I had run out of propane twice in less than 6 months. Well, recently the branch manager not only came to my door to apologize for their mistake, but brought us a letter of apology as well. That earns the manager my respect, and I'm optimistic that propane delivery will run smoothly in the future. read more
