Arnold recently had a major power outage due to a storm. The outage lasted for days. As a result of that outage my WIFI lost its connection. When power was finally restored, I needed to reset all of my Wi-Fi connected items. I got everything working correctly except for my thermostat. I tried in vain to get it to reconnect. I finally gave up and called my propane company, Ebbetts Pass Gas. Wow! was I glad I did. Good customer service is something people wish for but, incredible service is what I got. Rodney from Ebbetts Pass Gas came to my rescue. He quickly looked at my propane heater and thermostat to determine the cause of my frustration. He reviewed my owner's manual for the thermostat and determined that there were numerous options that needed to be selected. He then proceeded to reset the thermostat. Once the heater was up and running, he sat down with me and marked the options I would need to select in case this ever happened again. He was polite, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. This was my second very positive experience with Ebbetts Pass Gas. A few years back I was new to the Arnold community (Dorrington area), and we had a major snowstorm, and I needed propane. The Ebbetts Pass Gas delivery driver came, dug down through over 6 feet of snow to get to my propane tank and fill the tank. My husband has been in the hospital for a few weeks. He usually checks the level of propane in the tank. The last few days its dipped down to the low 30's. Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and the tank is empty. I called EPG and within minutes Rodney called me back and said he'd bring propane within the hour. This review is so overdue, but we'll deserved. My husband built his house 30 years ago, and most of that time he has used EPG. This winter we had unusually colder than normal temps, and at a certain percentage, my husband will place an order. He placed his order and we were told 3 weeks later that they ran out of gas. Completely understandable. But Friday the next week we were down to 2 percent and we're unable to take long showers (I couldn't wash my hair ick!) we couldn't cook on our stove or use our heater. We were cold, dingy and miserable. While I was at work, I called and spoke to the manager, he was very kind and within 19 minutes, our tank was filled! Thank you to that kind manager, that driver who was so busy in our area, and thank you for all your employees who work so hard, even during extreme weather. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Male representative was aggressive and threatening to me. I'm scared to be home alone now when they come by. I can't understand anyone in customer service being so aggressive and rude. They refuse to provide propane even though we are paid up just because we are on will call and won't agree to them charging us unnecessarily. I had an issue with my gas fireplace and furnace. They were working in the morning and both stopped working in the afternoon. I looked at the gauge on my propane tank which indicated 80%. Called EPG and asked if they could look to see what might be preventing the furnace and gas fireplace from working. They sent guys out and they were able to get things going right away. This review is long overdue. We have used EPG for appliance repairs in the last year or so. I believe it was Mike & Mike on both repairs. One repair was when our AC went out and they replaced a part (a capacitor I think); and the second time was when our furnace was acting up. Mike thoroughly cleaned out/tuned up the furnace - maybe the first time it was ever done (house built in 1991)! Mike & Mike were professional, friendly and very thorough. Don't overlook Ebbetts Pass for appliance and HVAC repairs! I've had my GE gas oven repaired as well as an inoperative central air conditioner. Everyone at the company is courteous and does their best to get things running quickly. They keep a key to my house and I trust them completely to take care of my needs while I am gone. This is a weekend home for us so it would be very difficult to be here for service appointments. They've been around for a long time and take good care of this community. read more

Charges for gas not put in your tank, the heater was off for the most part of two months. We have a read out from Honeywell Thermostat, each month to show to the minute how much our propane heater runs and it compares months as well as years. It also shows the temperatures inside as well as outside of our home. They charge $75 just to have someone come out and look at your systems. Then, they told us our remote control batteries were bad. We have NO remote control. We do have a 30 minute timer to shut off the gas fireplace. It is a spring loaded timer to stop the fireplace in 30 minutes if you forget it. The worst part is calling and trying to talk to a rude, interrupting lady on the phone. Quite obviously she is not aware people talk about their bills and see they are being billed different amounts per gallon. Not sure why she treats you so poorly and interrupts so much. Would rather stay local with Ebbetts Pass Gas but not when they treat you so poorly. You cannot even compare apples to apples as this lady is so Rude she will not even tell you what you pay annually to rent the tank or how big the actual tank is. Maybe there is someone in the company to talk with that will treat you with respect, listen and five you answers, but we sure have not been given the person. Ebbetts Pass Gas: "We hope our manager reaching out personally helped, Brad. Have a great weekend!" Ebbetts Pass Gas yep, it explained someone is lying, just wonder who. He states the service rep who we paid $75 to inspect the propane system told him we had bad batteries in our propane gas fireplace remote control. LMAO WE HAVE NO REMOTE CONTROL FOR THE PROPANE FIREPLACE. There is a thermostat on the wall, just for the fireplace. That has batteries. If the batteries go bad the fireplace completely shuts down, thus you use absolutely no propane at all for the fire. THE SAME FIRE PLACE HAS A 30 MINUTE TIMER, SPRING LOADED. THIS STOPS THE FIREPLACE PROPANE AT THRITY MINUTES TO SAVE GAS AND WITHOUT A HUMAN THERE TO RESET IT, IT NEVER ALLOWS GAS TO THE FIRE PLACE. The Timer over rides anything you set the thermostat on. So in-essence I can set the thermostat on 100 degrees and it will not turn the fireplace on as the timer is not twisted to the on position. So, explain to me how it cost $1500 worth of propane because some nonexistent remote control batteries were bad? We were also told it was a colder winter than the past. BS, THE MONTH AVERAGE WAS THREE DEGREES DIFFERENT THAN LAST YEAR. AND WE DID NOT HEAT THE HOME THIS YEAR. GREAT INSPECTION WE PAID $75 dollars for. I AS THE FAMILY BUSINESS OWNER WOULD BE SO EMBARRASSED I would refund the customer for my service rep doing such a terrible job. Also I find the reason the unprofessional lady is not listening and yelling at me on the phone (heard by both my wife and the manager, himself) is because her husband is the propane truck delivery driver. Funny, now in three months the home was heated a total of eight days and yet we have spent over $1500 on propane in that time period. It does noes not take an Einstein to look at the nonexistent electric bill, of $24, or less a month to see no heater ran, during this time. Yep, there is a correlation between the electric bill and the heater running. Not as much as the AC and electric bill correlation. But there is one. And when you have no electric bill as the home sits empty, there no doubt something is wrong. Of course you cannot tell that to the wife of the man delivering the propane. Perhaps their propane bill for the last three months was ZERO DOLLARS. Oh, and I am told it is a family owned business. Must be a family from the city the way you treat customers. Sounds like our propane is being dropped off at someone else's home. read more

I just purchased a house two months ago, and i wanted a propane heating stove installed in the house. however i needed a gas line put in by where the stove was being installed, so i called ebbetts gas for hopes of them installing my gas line, it is fairly simple job however since i have never used them before and because i own my own tank and just moved in i was denied service. i don't need a fill up yet i have plenty of propane for the winter, i just wanted to go with the local business and just got denied. not happy at all. read more

Ebbetts Pass Gas is awesome. My wife and I were up at our cottage in Arnold over Christmas when on Christmas Eve we smelled gas. EPG told us to turn off the gas and sent over a service person. He was very nice and took his shoes off when entering the house. He methodically traced the problem to our dryer and fixed the leak. When we received the bill it was a lot lower than I expected. Since they gave us such good service, we asked them for a quote to add heat to our second story and remove an old furnace. We ended up meeting the guys who were going to do the work and they explained in detail what they were going to do. When dealing with contractors I sometimes thing they are trying to gouge me. However, these guys came up with practical solutions and a fair price. I felt like they were telling me what they would do if it was their house. I am always nervous having work done at my house when I am not there. Will they leave a mess, etc? WRONG - they left the house cleaner then we left it for them! Also, I had a hard time figuring out what they did because they blended it in with the rest of the house so well. I found myself going back to old pictures to track down new vents, etc. My wife and I were both thrilled. I thought they just delivered gas but no they do SO much more. We are now making a list of electrical work that we plan on having them do. My only complaint is that they don't come to the bay area........ read more

Service over and above even on a late Saturday afternoon. Having a second home in Arnold (therefore us not living there full-time), Ebbetts Pass Gas really helped us out. Weekend renters said that the heater wasn't working, which runs on propane. EPG had their on call person come out and fill our tank and just like we were back up and running making the tenants very happy. Very nice guy - checked and got right back to us. I have had great service from Ebbetts Pass Gas Service. The technician Rod goes the extra mile. He has made 3 repairs at my cabin. Once he fixed the furnace, once the gas dryer, and once the gas cooktop. In each case he evaluated the situation and gave me a call about my options. The last time I used Ebbetts Pass service is when a renter reported a gas leak. Rod came out checked the furnace, tuned the gas fireplace, and found a small leak under the cooktop.
